We bought a bed set and matching dresser and mirror from Casalife (the brand was BDI) for about $12,000… For that kind of money we were expecting top notch quality that would last us a lifetime. Unfortunately this furniture is just junk. It’s all particle board wood veneer, which at that price is a bit surprising but not unforgivable. The problem is that it’s the cheapest wood veneer I’ve ever seen. God forbid you set your phone on the bedside side, it will scratch and dent immediately. We left a book on the bedside table for a week without moving it, the wood veneer is now permanently stained. All of the drawer slides grind and click. The built in USB ports didn’t work when we bought them. We were told it was because our phones were too new? Which was odd considering it was a brand new bed… After fighting tooth and nail, they did mail us replacements that we need to install ourselves. I am so incredibly disappointed with the quality of the pieces we purchased. I feel like I’ve been robbed. Casalife, if you care about making things right, contact me, you can surely find me in your system. I purchased everything from your now defunct Kitchener branch. If not, this review stays up.

We ordered a Canadian-made dining table for about $2400 on 14Dec2024 and were told it would be delivered at the end of March, beginning of April. Fourteen weeks to build a table seemed excessive, but whatever. It was a nice table and we'd been searching for quite a while. April came and went. Finally, on 15May2025, the table was delivered and set up by Casalife workers. Looked great. The table is extendible, and there is a shelf just below the table top where the extension leaf is supposed to be stored. Within 10 min of setup, the shelf came loose and fell to the floor, along with the leaf, which was scratched. The workers were still in the driveway and came back to collect the leaf and shelf. Now, it is mid-August and we we are still waiting for a new leaf and for the shelf to be repaired. Pity the state of Canadian manufacturing that cannot even make a dining room table within a reasonable amount of time. While Casalife's service has been fine, my complaint is that they would work with such a shoddy and tardy manufacturer.
It was refreshing to deal with such a professional company. Love the new sofa. From purchase to delivery everything was first class. Kudos to Glen and the team.
After a fairly exhaustive search for the perfect counter stool to complement our kitchen update, we found the ideal solution at Casalife in Etobicoke. We were able to select the base finish and the fabric and the result is wonderful. Glen was helpful and easy to work with. The stools were completed on time and the pickup was easy. Altogether, it was a great experience and happy to support local!
This refers to our experience visiting the showroom rather than buying. I don't think I would buy anything from them anyway. We felt snubbed and unwelcome. I think the staff can make an effort to be more friendly. Why should I spend my money here when I feel unwelcome?
Love my new dining chairs! Good service and follow up on a back ordered item. Easy pick up procedure. Warehouse staff was helpful loading into the car.
