I don't live anywhere close to this place but still come all the way here to sharpen my son's skates. I also took him to multiple hockey stores to buy new skates but when we came here, the extremely experienced and knowledgeable staff made us feel at ease, and we ended up buying his new skates here as well. Won't go anywhere else for new skates or sharpening in the future.
We took our 2 1/2 year old grandson to get skates and a helmet for his upcoming skating lessons. Thomas was very knowledgeable and efficient. We were in and out in no time with good quality equipment. Thomas adjusted the helmet and clearly explained how to make it bigger once his head grows. Thank you Thomas for making our grandson’s experience a pleasant one!.
Another excellent outing at Dukes tonight. Great service from Jay in the goalie section for our daughter’s new mask and pants. Been shopping there for decades and always get important advice and great friendly service. Skate sharpening is always spot on. Glad we have a local neighbourhood business like Dukes.
Had a great experience at Duke’s. I received help in getting new skates the moment I entered. The worker Colin was kind and professional, answering all questions I had. Same can be said of the other employees in the shop, will be back!
I was just visiting Toronto from Japan this last holiday. I wanted to buy some new goalie gear as my old gear was wearing out. I was looking for a new Bauer set, but I ended up with a custom true set! All the guys in there act very professional, and the goalie guy, JB definitely knew his stuff. He gave me all the specs and talked me through the move to a True set. It was definitely a five star experience at Dukes. I highly recommend shopping for new gear and other hockey related things. This store is great for players and goalies alike.
This place was amazing. I needed new skates in a pinch (blade broke, Easton skates were too old to replace without a new blade holder), and heard about this place from a friend. I arrived at 2:53 on a Sunday, they were closing at 4:00, and their sales team really took the time to make sure I found the proper fit and skate for my playing style (multiple fits, skates and testing). I walked out of there at 3:59 with a brand new, sharpened pair had the first skate at 7:30 that evening, and the skates were perfect. I may never shop at another hockey shop again, even if there is some travel time. Shout out to Owen
The customer service here is always great, but I have to share in particular my experience I had today. Although, I just bought a Hockey Stick (not cheap anymore mind you..lol), NICK took the time, to explain the different types of curves and went out of his way, to get the right stick for me, with great patience and detail. Thank you!!
