Walked in hoping to use an air compressor to seat the bead on my tubeless tire. The man I spoke to said there's no sealant in the tire so he can't help me. I explained that you don't need sealant to seat the bead with an air compressor. He disagreed. I tried to explain I've done this before, it takes at most 5 minutes. He refused to serve me. I took my wheels 5 minutes down the road to skiis and biikes and they helped me seat the bead in 2 minutes. First time a bike shop has ever refused to help me out :(
Diail has been fixing my bike since 2000. Always great work. Never over charges and the most honest mechanic around. I don't live in the neighbourhood anymore and have not seen him for almost a decade. Friendly cordially polite older gentleman always there for me when need my horse fixed Daial has great stories from back when. Now he listens to mine as my life is in chaos. His rates are the best. Tubes are 12 bucks plus. And you will have a permanent smile riding your bicycle. No charge for air and no stolen merch Don't go anywhere else
Regardless of all the negative comments here and bashing the owner of the shop, I would recommend this shop to everyone. Yes, the owner can be very straightforward and to the point but his expertise on bikes is unparalleled. I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews. It's a bike repair shop, not a social club!
I came here for repairing flat tire. I wanted to just patching, but the option is only replace tube. ($25) Payment options; Debit or Cash are better, you can pay with VISA or Master card but he will charge 3% for it.
Bike tires and tubes are low quality, do your research. You're better off going to pro bike shop. He made claims the bike tire has a warranty but when I had a problem with my bike tire he said there's no warranty. He has been rude to me several times. It was when he cause damage to my bike i stopped going.
bad noisy wheels and heavy aluminum frame so you will tire quickly - on my old bike I rode 200 miles without fatigue but on the bike bought from this seller I get tired after 2 miles. his bikes look nice - it's a trap and he won't let you check the bike until you pay for it, but after you pay he won't refund you if you don't like the hard ride. so always shop in a large retail chain - for example, Walmart sells cheap Chinese bicycles with the same bad brakes and bushings but 3 times cheaper, they have a workshop where you will get everything set up for free. If you don't like it, your money will be returned. and when buying from this person, ask him to sign a return agreement for you if you change your mind, because otherwise he will say that he does not believe you that your bike does not work well - he behaves like a bandit. I bought a beautiful but useless bike from this seller for $470 - he says that this is not enough money for good quality a front and rear vertical shock will cost you $460. avoid this place - but you can go see what the place looks like and which vendors to avoid. be careful - as long as you haven't paid they will be kind to you and will give you sweet speeches. and as soon as you transfer money to his account, he will turn his back on you and say that Canada is a strict country where no one returns money. always read only negative comments because such sellers write positive comments to themselves ! google "top bike brands in canada" - this seller deprives you of the right to buy these things for yourself. and only buy from big stores where they guarantee returns if you change your mind - don't fund gangsters selling dubious brands like Genesis, these companies and sellers are turning Canada into a garbage dump. Premium quality items are the enemy of good quality items - don't fall into the thrift trap
I went here on a friends recommendation. Great service, vast bike knowledge and incredible prices. I took a $2000 bike there that I had won to get built, and was very pleased. So pleased that I brought my mountain bike there for a tune-up and also bought a bike for my wife. All in the same weekend. I highly recommend this place !! Mike
