I came into the store looking for a shoe care/polish and was greeted by a very nice older lady With Glasses took a decent amount of time to pitch the product to me, which I appreciated however upon learning the price of the item I was hesitant. I went around the mall and essentially ended up finding an identical product for cheaper, but I felt bad due to the very good sales pitch from the older lady. When I went back to thank her for her time and express that I no longer needed the product to be set aside the larger lady working started to open her eyeballs as wide as she could, as if she was seeing a deer and a headlights opening them wide with sarcasm or implying abnormality because I came back to let her know I wouldn’t be moving forward with the sale. Customer experience matters whether you’re purchasing or not and I will not shop at this location if I see the bigger lady working .
To the blonde white female manager/supervisor on November 20, 3:45PM: I suggest you do not accuse customers of lying or scamming, especially in front of them. The customer did not even know there was a price discrepancy. The brunette lady helping them order a shoe unavailable in-store scrolled through the ECCO website on their phone and noticed a cost difference from your system. When the employee went to you for assistance, you did not even check the issue before saying in front of the customer that they could have manipulated the price (it was not a photo -- do you think they coded a whole website?). Poor management and people skills lost your store a sale when the customers rightfully left and explained they could order the shoe themselves rather than be mistreated! I do not know what the manager was thinking speaking like that while all patrons were in earshot. The customers were speaking a foreign language to each other but spoke in fluent English to the employees. Maybe she assumed they would not understand, adding a dose of racism in undermining their linguistic skills and intelligence. I wrote this because I feel bad for the kind brunette employee. Do better and treat people with kindness!
Ecco shoes are top-notch—super comfy and high-quality. Big shoutout to Jen at the store for being so friendly and patient, especially when my wife kept switching between shoes. It’s rare to find service like hers these days. Thanks a ton, Jen, for making our shopping trip awesome!
I liked the brand. If you want comfort you have to get this brand. I like this store too. The service seems a bit slow past but the is great. The associates know what they are selling and help you with the options available that is rare, now a days!
I thought I was pretty aware of the shoe I needed. I had looked at Ecco but didn't understand it until I spoke with Teresa at Sherway Gardens. That was 16 months ago and all of my wife's and my shoes have been purchased there since. They are knowledgeable, good listeners, prepared to say they can or can not help, give great advice and then fit the shoe or sandal perfectly! Both Teresa and her assistant manager Ben couldn't be more helpful! As a more senior shopper this is so important to me, if I was 20 years younger it would have made quite a difference
Ecco is a brand of shoes that I have been buying for years. It is so comfortable to walk with and it really lasts. I also like the styles. I have worn it to work, brought them with me in my travels because not only is it good for walking but also it is not too heavy even if they are made of leather. I brought my friend here to try on a bootie similar to what I had on. The sales associate in this store provided excellent customer service.
Always loved ECCO. I bought sandals for myself for summer. Dealing with planter fasciitis, it was not easy to find something that suits my needs. I really appreciate the help of the reps there. They were super helpful. I had a good shopping experience. Ecco is my go to brand for comfort and simplicity of style.
