Bait and switch with the olives on doordash. Their olives are usually good but I got pitted olives in no sauce this time. Not sure if my dasher switched them or what but they're looking like Unico olives in vinegar brine with noticeable preservative flavour and not the usual I'm used to. The pizza is what I've come to expect but not sure what they did with the olives. They're terrible this time. See attached photos: no onions, no sauce, not the same quality olives with pits (some discoloured Unico looking one instead). Very disappointed.
Amazingly delicious, the dough structure is beautiful and the taste rivals the most reputable pizza places. Very friendly atmosphere and amazing quality ingredients. I eat a lot of pizza, take my word for it.
Dough very little flavour. I can tell by the way the the dough cooked it was not freshly made. Fresh dough has much better texture than this, it was clearly previously frozen. Definitely better pizza options out there in the neighborhood. Not worth the price.
This was my first time trying Capi's Pizza since the original owner left years ago. The pizza was really quite good, made quickly and great ingredients, however, it wasn't what I ordered. I've ordered the same pizza with the same toppings for more that 20 years (because that's what I like) and this time it was missing a few toppings, when I pointed that out to the owner, he told me that those items were not on the order sheet, and the person who took the order told me that I didn't ask for them. I understand that no-one wants to admit making a mistake but HEY, it's just a pizza (not anyones life) just say sorry, I don't recall those toppings being mentioned, add them to the pizza and BOOM, you're done. In any case, this won't be my last time trying them, but next time I'll make sure I ask them to REPEAT my order.
I have a refined taste of very few foods, but Pizza is one of them. This place is perhaps the best pizza that I've had in Toronto, if it's not anywhere else. Thank you Capi's.
One word- delicious! Their Roni pizza is a definite must try. I do also recommend their garlic dipping sauce and the hot honey. Add a light drizzle of the hot honey to the crust- perfection!
I have been coming to Capi's since I wrote the review below two years ago. It has been consistently outstanding. I just stopped in for lunch and ordered a sandwich, it might be the best sandwich I have ever had. The Panino Muffuletta was great. Crispy bun, amazing flavors, filling but not too much. Wow! What a sandwich. This is a small unassuming place in a strip plaza on Dundas. Normally I wouldn't chance it but I saw a neigbour recommend it. I like to support local and I heard the owner also lived in our building and had just opened as the lock down started. So, I ordered a pizza and WOW! The crust was amazing. Crispy, not just at the edges but right to the centre. The toppings were delicious. It was the perfect size. I was impressed. But maybe it was just a good night. So I went back again. Another great pizza. While I am a trained chef and caterer who has served thousands of meals I didn't want to depend solely on my own opinion so I got a couple of pizza and brought them over to a friend's house. She, an exceptional cook who was born in Italy, was blown away. She said the crust was amazing and that even the sauce was amazing. Do yourselves a favour and order a pizza or two or three!
