This location is literally what you would call a corner pizza joint as this location on the corner of Royal York Rd and Queensway. It's a very tiny spot that has been serving a variety of pizza options for decades now. I have actually seen TTC drivers stop an entire bus during red light stops just to pick up a pizza slice or two. Can't go wrong with Pizza Nova as I would arguably say it's one of the better Canadian pizza franchises. There isn't much seating inside which I can understand as it is a very small location but the interior of this place is clean. So don't be expecting they would have a washroom in there. Plan ahead. From time to time, unfortunately, you might see drug addicts and raging drunken hobos hanging outside the restaurant yelling at near by random pedestrians, and in some cases looking to pick up a fight, due to the fact that this Pizza Nova is located right before you cross over the QEW into "South Etobicoke/Lakeshore" where they probably migrated from. So be cautious.
Today, when I was buying pizza, a student came in. He had a coupon for one slice of pizza. Two jerks didn’t want to give him that slice, they started interrogating him about where he studies and so on. What right do they have to question someone like that? Are they police officers or something? He brought the coupon — they should just give him the slice, shut their mouths, and get back to work. I was upset. I felt sorry for that guy, who just turned around and left. Most likely, he simply went to a normal location where they gave him his slice of pizza. Disgraceful. I believe workers like that should be fired immediately. August 28, 2025. Thank you for your attention. And be mindful — don’t let people like that treat you this way.
No accessible washrooms for paying customers. This is in violation of Toronto Bylaws. If you’re serving food, full stop you need to be providing access to a washroom. Do you expect me to deal with my in the street?
Not good to go there for lunch unless you are just getting a slice. Staff focus on serving students slices first while you wait 10 minutes for your order to be made. Not sure why the cashier couldn’t serve slices while the person in the back doesn’t complete orders. Had the Chicken sandwich. Tasted good, but it’s over priced given the size. Better to go to the sub shop a block away.
Ordered the party size pizza. In some places, the pizza was burnt. In other places it looked like it's not cooked, felt douvhy. The oven is not fired up evenly. Very little tomatoe sauce. Bad experience. Need consistency.
While I understand that I came 8 minutes before close, as I drove by I saw nearly an entire pizza’s worth of slices in the display. By the time I parked, which took me 2 minutes, the person at the front put all the pizza away and didn’t help me out. If a business closes at 12, I assume that means it closes at 12. I completely understand not being able to make me a fresh pizza, or maybe if he was out of pizza, but he was just trying to shut down early. I know it’s my fault for coming so late, but maybe I would’ve tried another pizza place in the area that was also closing at 12 (FBI Pizza, namely). I guess in the future I know what to do, which is avoid this location. I literally saw that he had at least 8 slices, but he couldn’t let me pay for one. Super disappointed, was looking forward to good pizza, now im stuck with pizza pizza (practically cardboard).
BEST PIZZA PLACE TO GO TO . RECOMMEND IT 100% . I’ve gone there so many times and Not once had something gone wrong , they are very kind and the new owner is very kind and understanding
