I visited Athleta today and bought two sale items that were 40% off, but I was charged only the sale price. I asked about the employee discount, since I work with Gap Inc and should receive an additional 10% on markdown items. The associate tried to apply the employee discount on top of the markdown and did so, but she wasn’t sure that she can changes in the bill so she called the manager. The manager insisted I was being charged the markdown price and refused to acknowledge the extra discount I’ve received on past purchases. She became rude and told me, “I am the manager here and you cannot argue with me.” I was simply trying to clarify my query, but her attitude left me feeling disrespected. I left the store disappointed, not expecting such poor customer service at Athleta. I have used this discount at other Athleta locations and never been disappointed, as it aligns with Gap Inc merchandise discount policies. I hope the store revisits its discount policy communication and staff training to prevent this from happening to others.
Amazing customer service from the assistant manager Bao Nguyen at around 4:30pm when I exchanged the paradise linen pants for a smaller length because the length I got online was too long on me!
I was at the store last week. I was approached by 3 different sales people and told them I was just browsing. They continued to ask me questions about why I was shopping and kept asking if they could start me a fitting room. They were super pushy and wouldn’t just let me just browse alone. I got a pair of linens and needed a smaller size. Julia grabbed one from the back, I took it home and it was the wrong size. I have to go back to return them now.
I popped into the store for my first time and was impressed by the quality and variety of merchandise, as well as the customer service by the two ladies working tonight (8:30 pm, March 29, 2023). They were super friendly, helpful and welcoming even though it was the end of their shift! I was really impressed and will be back!!!
I came to return a jacket and Farnaz in the Sherway store advised me that it is on sale even more. I kept the jacket thanks to her fantastic customer service.
