I had replace one of my exhaust on my Toyota and not even 5 months later exhaust came apart because of bad welding job to exhuast. Went back and asked for additional money and after that weld was not properly done. I have another car that did a service and peter and his "mechanics" ruined my car. So far two cars ruined bythis place. If you are looking for someone trustworthy loom somewhere else. I can't even call these guys mechanics. Will cost me thousands of dollars to fix because of them not putting things back the way they should. Absolutely frustrating to deal with such a shop and owner
As nice as Peter is, I am very disappointed in my service. I brought my car in January to fix an issue I was hearing strange noise, and I was told I need to replace my entire steering wheel system as steering fluid is leaking. I paid about 2000$ for the steering wheel system, labour, and right shocks to be replaced. Not even a few months later I am having steering issues again, but I already moved to ottawa. I was told by an ottawa mechanic I should take it back to Peter as I should have warranty. I had my car sent back from ottawa to Toronto and I thought it was under warranty but still had to pay over 400$ for labour to replace the part. Anyways, he replaced it he said and I was given the car back without alignment. I paid over 150$ at Midas to align it and they told me there is an issue with the steering wheel bar that I had JUST replaced AGAIN, they said there is metal shards in there, the person who replaced it didn’t do a good job and it will cause leaking. That day the leaking began again. I have gone into debt to borrow money to be able to fix the issue AND fix the mistake and now I have to cough up money again to fix the issue that was never done properly twice, but in ottawa as I have to start from 0 again. I feel I was taken advantage of because I showed up as a woman and a single mom who was desperate to have my car fixed and now I don’t even know how I can repair it properly as I don’t even think Peter would refund me for this problem. I feel very upset and don’t feel safe to drive my baby to her appointments when I trusted and relied on them. More care has to go into repairing and making sure it’s safe before giving it to a client. And also the prices I found out are 3 times what I was quoted anywhere else.
Pete is an amazing man! Steve knows what he is doing. They will NOT over charge you and they won't waste their time fixing non fixable stuff! Definitely 10 out of 10
Was recommended to come here by a friend after my car started making a loud revving noise any time it was running as well as having issues accelerating. I came in and spoke to Peter about my issue and he put the car up on the jack right away. He not only diagnosed the problem right away, but he was also able to find a workaround that ultimately ended up saving me money. He was knowledgeable, personable, and with a great sense of humour as well, so the entire experience was great.
I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. My wheel cylinder came loose and sprayed my brake fluid. I bought the components and brought my vehicle in to have them installed. ( My car was too rusty to remove the bolts myself) some other issues were brought up and I gave the green light to fix them. Told him I'm on a budget and looking to just get the car going so I can sell it at a dealership. I was quoted $150. 3 hours later I get a call and my bill is $450 both my rear brakes were replaced. I was never contacted before moving forward with the repairs. Reasoning was the other brakes may go in a few months. If contacted, I would have told him I would take the chance. But besides that Peter was very informative and professional, gave me a walk around my vehicle, showing me the work they had done and needs to be maintained. I appreciated the professional insight and courtesy. But felt taken advantage of once handed the bill.
Get a price before Peter looks at your vehicle. I feel the price was run up 350$ and nothing was done to repair the problem. He said he could not find the problem. No repairs were made but time was spent and paid for. Terrible serves. Car was left for days at shop.
