You guys saved me and my family, your team are the best, except for the person that attended to me, anyways, we always have a black sheep in the family.
Made an appointment for same day alignment. Used Hunter machines to do it. Friendly, honest, quick and efficient staff. Took it for a test drive and it was excellent. Definitely would come back for my next alignment
Got control arm replaced as they are reasonably priced. Car pulled right after alignment with the new arm. Talked to Pat days later about the steering pull from the alignment they have done and he took it in without hesitation to correct the pull.
Excellent experience alignment + prep for winter for a Mercedes E350. Recommended from another retired mechanic that sent all alignment work here. Excellent price. They also installed a replacement drivers side mirror for me (I provided part). These guys are honest and reliable and excellent!
My first experience at altech met pat he did my car alignment , sweet , honest humble man ! Also went out of his way and showed me the shop nearby for body works. Will recommend him over and over again. They prices are very reasonable compared to what others charge for Bmw cars ! Thanks pat !
Long Story Short: GO TO THIS SHOP. I went here to get 4-wheel alignment and received a print-out of results, which I appreciated since I didn’t ask for it. That was the first sign that this shop is honest, the main thing I look for when doing business or interacting with anyone. On the drive home I was SO HAPPY. My steering no longer pulled to the right, AND my steering was Centred. Before, it was off by about 2-4 degrees. Super frustrating on long highway drives. Background: This happened at ANOTHER SHOP (Not Altech Automotive - the guys at Altech are great people you can trust 1000%). At the shop who did my last alignment which will remain unnamed, I also got 4 Front control arms, with Bilstein B4 front Struts and Suplex front springs. The ride quality was amazing compared to before, as I came from blown shocks and worn springs and bushings. However, I eventually realized that on the highway, my car would slightly drift right, and my steering was not centred; it was off from centre by about 2-4 degrees. On long Highway drives I found it very frustrating to have to constantly correct the steering to stay in my lane. I began to notice a binding sound when turning the wheel at a stop. One day I checked and saw that the coil spring was twisting in the seat, and had shifted 1-2cm. I told the tech and he said it’s nothing to worry about, and he offered to align my car again. The end result was the problem didn’t go away, and I decided never to go to that shop again. 4 years later, I decided to change all of my shocks and springs, due to excessive rear tire wear. By now, I learned enough to perform the work myself. Installed shocks and springs, and saw that the previous tech installed the strut washer with the black-stripe upside-down, which was the cause of my rotated spring, uneven front ride height. It took 4 years to discover the problem, but I was pretty frustrated that the tech who did it all those years ago, said everything was normal. For the most part the car WAS fine, but I pointed out what I thought was the problem and was treated like I don’t know what i’m talking about. I enjoy working on my own vehicle if the job is not too difficult , because before I found the guys at Altech, I would frequently be lied to by mechanics, so that they could avoid fixing a mistake that they made, and made to feel like I don’t know anything. That’s why I was surprised when the tech at Altech invited me into the bay to show me that my rear eccentric bolts for my rear toe-adjustment were SEIZED to the inner sleeve of the bushing. He was honest and allowed me to go home and correct the issue myself ( Broke student life) and I offered to pay a minimal fee, as I felt bad since he warned me even before the job as soon as he noticed the rusty seized bolt that there was a chance of it breaking and I gave him the go ahead. This bolt is a well known problem on BMW forums, so there is 0 fault from them, and shows their dedication to honesty, transparency, etc. they didn’t charge me much despite him spending at least 1 hour fighting rusty bolts that went through 11 canadian winters (5 since last alignment). I got the related parts replaced ( front tie rods, rusty bolts) and came back. Two months had passed, as I had life issues to deal with. Regardless, Pat remembered me right away, which was surprising, because this was only my 2nd time here. I waited a short while. The car I got back had the BEST alignment I ever had since the car was new. Steering wheel was perfectly centred, and the car did not drift in any direction. The steering actually felt a little tighter, and returned to centre more quickly after a turn. I will be back here whenever I have an issue on my vehicle. It’s not easy finding a knowledgeable shop that takes pride in their work, and now that I’ve found these guys, I’m not taking any risks going elsewhere. If you come here, you will be satisfied, as a car enthusiast I can guarantee that to you. Just don’t be the guy who blames a helpful shop owner for your OLD rusty bolts breaking. Thats’ not nice.
CESPOOL OF THIEVES. BEWARE I took my equinox for a winter tires installation ( only swapping tires) after one day I took a drive in the 403 highway and my car was vibrating. I took my Equinox to my old expensive mechanic, this took him 5 minutes to tell me that two tires were replaced with old damaged rims. Unfortunately there was no proof to vouch my claim but the reality is there for saving 30 bucks I ended having to buy a pair of rims again. Do not go to this place is AWFULL, all people there are the worst of the worst. THIEVES.
