Ricardo did a great job fixing the leaky shower faucet. He is a very capable plumber and communicated very effectively. Thanks CJ Drain for the prompt service.

This is our experience with CJ. This refers to Jimmy at CJ Plumbing, this is whom I spoke to over the phone/text. Everything was done over the phone/text, take pictures and tell them what is needed and then a quote is texted/emailed. Well, I am old school and would have expected them to come to the house and actually look at the job All this phone stuff is new to me. The job was to replace the kitchen sink, replace pipe from sing to ptrap, install cleanout under ptrap and replace hot and cold shut off. And as I requested, replace all of the drain pipe which was over 40 years old and was past its useful life. Materials are not included. They did only charge what they paid. Which, I did not get to see the receipts, I did not get to verify the actual amount. I do have to say as a customer that the biggest problem is terminology. There was a massive error in what I wanted and what was done. I asked for a cleanout on the trap and they installed a normal cleanout at the connection to the main drain, this is what happens when you don’t come in person and see what is needed because you understand one thing and I understand it as a different thing. For those of you who do your business over the phone, I urge you to make sure that both parties are on the same page to avoid this needless and expensive work. The day after the installation, we discovered that the drain was leaking (my terminology) in the area where the connection from the sink to the black drain pipe is attached. When I texted, the installer got defensive saying that he tested it after the installation was done and again without coming to the house and looking at it wanted pictures sent. Well, I can’t take a picture of a wet pipe, no interest in visually looking at the leak. The owner, wanted video, again, can’t take video of a wet pipe. If someone knows how, please enlighten me. When I contacted the owner, I was already upset and he basically said that no one works for free and if the leak was not there, he needed to charge me $180 service call. He repeatedly said no one works for free at least six times. WOW! He was trying to tell me that they don’t want to waste their time if nothing is wrong. Well, a wet hand seems to say that there is something wrong. The installer is working on getting his full licence, I am not a plumber, but I know when things are not the way they should be. Our only solution now is to write this review. As well, find another plumber and fix the issues. (which we did find) They were going to send the installer back, but my wife was so upset at the potential of having to spend another $180 for a service call, that we decided to tell them not to come back. The owner then texted me to say they would not charge the $180 service charge, but it was too little too late. And for the record, the pipe leaks. One other item. We replaced a sink that was for lack of a better term, one and a half. Two sinks- one a regular size and a quarter size (again, I do not know the proper term for this). So, the installer made a big production out of the fact that he needed to cut out about a six inch by two inch piece of countertop to fit the new sink. He went on and on about it. For the money we spent with parts an extra cost, you would think that there shouldn’t be a big deal, this should have been my second red flag, but we chose to move forward anyways. We used these folks because our neighbour referred them to us. For the neighbour, he accepted a credit card payment or e-transfer. For us no option but e-transfer. The next day we contacted a fully licence plumber who came to the house (at an added expense to us) and said that the connector from the sink base to the plastic drain pipe was loose and secondly said that the gasket was not thick enough and was one of the other reasons for the leak. He added a silicone bead to the gasket, tightened the connector and filled the sink with water and felt the pipe as the water drained. Problem solved.

CJ Drain & Plumbing, Jimmy, came to the rescue. I either got no return call or false promises from others while costly water was going down the drain. Abdul was great, attentive and cleaned up after the job. Price was reasonable and service spectacular Should you have a leak?or need to replace a faucet..it's CJ plumbing to repair. Thank you again for helping us. Aggie & Joe ☺️
