What is it that every Hot Oven has horrible/miserable staff I went into the Kingsway location today. Despite having no customers the woman harassed me because I didn't take a number. I told her that no one was there so why would a take a number? She said I still had to and "why do people get angry?" I said I wasn't angry. She made such a big deal about this and I really just wanted to pay for the bread and leave. That was my final time going there and probably all Hot Ovens!
Great coffee, suggestions and service from Katrina. Really enjoy having this place in the neighbourhood. Wish I could have left a tip when paying with credit card!
I have had a wonderful experience. I would say it's the best bakery in the city of Toronto .I really like there affordable prices, great customer service and the quality pastries.
This place is usually wonderful and the customer service is excellent except today. I walked in and placed the first half of my order and the gentleman serving was helpful. Then he was pulled away to be berated by a colleague for an apparent mistake on another individual's order. After hearing a staffer get berated in front of me by another colleague I have no interest in continuing my purchase. This could gave waited until after my purchase was done and behind the scenes but this was really inappropriate. The staff thought their grievances were more important than me as a customer. Terrible look and it's very unprofessional and unwelcoming.
Everything I've had here is stale!! The cupcakes are gross. Walk west a few blocks if you want cupcakes get them from bake sale. Better icing and fresh. Also, I had a really bad latte here. Baked goods aren't five stars either. Go to cobs. I don't know why this is a chain. every time I have gone to a hot oven, everything sucks. I was reading other reviews about the staff being not so friendly and I agree, perhaps they are over worked and under paid? I won't be going back
Unfortunately that bakery used to be the Great one, but lately that bread I used to buy for a years does not taste the same as before at all ( even prices seems higher ) If there are any explanation for that
I absolutely love this place. I would like to say that I really appreciate the plastic shields coming down from the ceiling that the bakery put up to protect the employees from breathing in droplets from customers. It was heart warming to see that you guys care about your employees like that. As a nursing student I am very impressed. I always receive really great customer service from this location from everyone. However there is one employee that stands out the most to me. She looks like she could be indian with dark long hair and I think she wears glasses. She is very bubbly and personable she deserves employee of the year!!! Also please please please restore the Toscano bread back to its original size or lower it to be the same price as the french bread <3
