I bought candies at this store today and was very disappointed with their condition they turned out to be old and covered with a white coating, which suggests that they are past their date. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time: I previously bought wafers here, and they were also stale. Because of this, I don’t plan to shop at this store again. I hope the management pays attention to the quality of their products and storage conditions.
I discovered this Ukrainian bakery a year ago and I cannot tell you enough good things about it. Starting with the service that by far exceeds any service I received in my area and Canada. The employees who work there are highly attentive and extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The cappuccinos they make in-house are amazing and the setting is ambient and very relaxed. The food and baked goods sold there is on another level! The variety is amazing. From Kefirs to dairy products, to daily breads and desserts .. Absolutely a MUST place to visit if you're in the area! By the way, there's plenty of parking and it's FREE!!!
So excited to have found this. I’m craving proper pastries, breads and European goods since moving from Germany but they’re never getting close. This just reminded me so much of home the minute I walked in and the service was amazing, very on their toes and happy to explain their specials.
I want to make it clear that I do not look like a visible minority and because of this, luckily, Ive never experienced racism UNTIL I walked into this bakery. From the strange war and army propaganda to one employee ignoring me and serving the men behind me to the awkward stares from the patrons and staff… my jaw was on the ground. It was very clear that they knew I wasn’t “one of them” and their treatment of me showed. Let’s just say that I didn’t purchase anything so I cannot rate the food. I will never step foot in this establishment again. Awful :(
Dairy products are good, they have multiple different types of butter to choose. I haven't tried any other bakery items except their honey cake, which I like it so much.
Great assortment of various freshly baked breads and pastries. Also has a deli counter, ready-prepared dishes such as cabbage rolls, frozen pierogy and a wide assortment of dairy products. Somewhat pricey but the selection and quality is first class.
Great Ukrainian bakery with a dairy aisle and hot food table as well. Conveniently located near Sherway Gardens mall with easy access to Highway 427, Gardiner Expressway and QEW. Lots of bread variety, which are sold by weight. I can taste the quality of ingredients used to make the bread. Their Apple Cake has a great honey smell and taste to it. Meringues have the right levels of crispness and sweetness to them. Their Ukrainian muffin has raisins, it's an interesting twist. I like their Aunt Irene's Borscht soup. It has a heavier onion/garlic taste to it.
