Exceptional work, incredible person and goes above and beyond in every way, if I could give more than 5 stars, I would!! Dave was our wedding photographer, and I can't praise his exceptional service enough. Dave went above and beyond to ensure that our special day was not only beautifully captured in photos but that we felt supported and comfortable every step of the way. The photos speak for themselves (truly incredible photos that will be in our home forever!) but what I want to highlight beyond that is Dave’s personality - he truly cares. At one point while taking family photos he took notice that I might have been thirsty and asked a waiter to get me water (much needed!), later on, right before our first dance, my bustle broke and Dave was right there fixing it! He was the calm, warm and helpful presence for us in some of the more stressful moments and we are so grateful. From the moment we met him, his warmth and personable nature made us and our guests feel comfortable in front of the camera. Many of our guests commented on how approachable and friendly he was, creating a relaxed atmosphere that allowed us to be ourselves and enjoy the day to the fullest. Dave doesn't miss a beat in making sure every detail is perfect. Whether it's fixing a stray piece of hair, adjusting a tie, or ensuring your dress is just right, Dave's commitment to perfection shines through. We hired Dave for our wedding originally planned in July 2020, after countless date shifts, venue changes and hours of panic planning, we were able to have Dave capture our special day in the end. Dave continued to work with us through all the challenges we faced planning a wedding in a pandemic. He brainstormed ideas with us, helped us come up with creative solutions and did it all so genuinely. You will never meet a more genuine photographer/person to capture your special moment as Dave. We are so lucky to have hired Dave. We heard horror stories of other vendors not working with couples to find solutions, and of couples who lost their deposits. Thankfully, Dave Abreu Photography delivers above and beyond. I highly recommend Dave, he is so personable, talented and loves what he does. It makes a huge difference when you have someone like Dave to work with. Thank you so much DAVE!
WOULD NOT GIVE ME BACK MY DEPOSIT. My fiancé and I originally booked Dave for our engagement shoot with the intention to use him for our wedding next year as well... Firstly, apparently he’s way too busy on weekends to accommodate for photoshoots so get ready to use a vacation day if you work weekdays. Also get ready for him to cancel on you 4 days before your actual shoot... He didn’t want to get stuck in traffic anymore due to the timing of our shoot at 4pm (this was booked over a month in advanced) Gave me an ultimatum of changing the shoot to noon or change my location to mississauga to accommodate him better -otherwise he’s canceling. He ended up canceling on us since we could not accommodate. Also if for whatever reason you have to get your deposit back GOOD LUCK. I had to have legal counsel draft a letter for us to get our money back after WEEKS of calling and emailing with no response or one of many excuses as to why we haven’t gotten our money back.... “dave’s busy” “dave’s out of the country”.. sketchy My advice? There are people out that do equally beautiful work and don’t give you a headache doing so - who the hell needs extra headaches when they’re planning a wedding?
