The male barista working was extremely rude, got my order wrong and gave me a blank stare. His other coworker was extremely gracious and kind-sucks his attitude is so awful.
We were so excited to try this place. We had the original one in Japan a few years ago. The barista making the coffee was pretty rude! Not once but twice. This is not the kind of customer experience you expect when paying $8 for a small latte. The coffee was good but don’t want to be yelled at for asking for an extra cup.
Although the drink was good the staff are RUDE - I ordered a matcha latte with oak milk - $10 - the lady behind the counter asked if I wanted the drink ICED or hot- I ordered hot - however when served, it was warm to cool. I asked them to remake it more hot and the server replied …. “Did you ask for it hot?” . Plain old rude customer service - I’ll take my money elsewhere . She merely reheated it and placed it back on the counter . Dissatisfied 0/10
Very disappointed! For the price they charge, I expected clean surroundings and decent service — but this place was the opposite. The floors were dirty, and even the stools looked unclean. I paid close to $20 for two soft-serve ice creams. The first one came out, but the second never did. Their machine was clearly having issues from the start, yet no one bothered to apologize or even acknowledge the delay. I waited about 20 minutes while two staff members stood around the machine chatting, avoiding eye contact and giving no explanation. I finally approached the cashier, who casually said, “Oh, it’s not working, I can give you a refund.” Ignoring a customer for that long is unacceptable, especially for a first-time visit. Between the lack of communication and the noticeably dirty environment, this was more than enough for me. Never going back.
Tbh there are so many good cafes , so this is a spot I go to only when m craving for Kyoto latte, thats the only best one . For pastries I would say its a big No . Please dont make almond croissants . Its not flaky, its more like marzipan turnover . Thats all
I love Arabica at Union, Easton’s and Square one. Always my go to. Flat white spot whenever I pass by. So trying it at this location I had pretty good expectations. 1) It was so dirty -considering they haven’t been operating for to long. How do the bottom of the walls have brown stains of them its disgusting. 2) Understaffed -not a worker issue. They actually was able to make a proper flat white under the conditions they were given. Sitting area looked like they started cleaning but they couldn’t continue because of foam chemicals left on seats. 2 workers in the back for a place that size is not enough. Square one and Easton’s location is much smaller and they got at least 5 workers in the back. Management is failing these workers and customer experience.
This is the best coffee but what makes it extra special is Julia. She always remembers everyone and their order. She welcomes you with the brightest kindest smile and takes such care with every order she makes. She is absolutely the reason I come back and bring everyone here for a coffee. So grateful for her!
