This is a cute cafe but the patisserie part of it is misleading. The location itself is a very clean spot, though the music coming out of one radio was far too loud and I needed to bring the headphones out. The service was good and brought my food to the table, which was greatly appreciated. The latte was not bad but much weaker than I expected. I could have gotten a double shot but it felt like it was a trickle to begin with. The sandwich was also lacking in some aromatics. Dill would have gone a long way to brighten up this sandwich, which was mostly overpowered by the lox. Finally, the chocolate chip cookie had a distinctive snap but no chew, almost like it was left in the oven a bit too long. It's not a bad place for a coffee but the pastries, especially the croissant, was not really up to snuff.
One of you staff is not that much kind and she gave me this late !! And always I have hard time with her because she doesn’t know her job ! The foam on latte shouldn’t be like this and she made this for me in 1 minute and I pay for it around 7 dollars
Great service and atmosphere. I ordered an iced matcha latte and a salmon baguette. Advice: as with any baguette, eat it hot and fresh. The colder it gets the stiffer it gets. The matcha latte was really nice. Very refreshing and chilled. I saw them make it with ease and precision. The overall atmosphere is great. I liked the ambiance of the cozy cafe vibe and it seemed like a great place to socialize and even get some work done. I'll definitely be revisiting soon. A short distance from the Royal York Station, it's a good spot whether you are taking the ttc or walking or driving. There's paid street parking available. The whole street has a nice vibe tbh.
Would be nice except they didn’t have a working bathroom and did nothing to fix it when told by multiple customers. Pretty crucial for a cafe if you ask me.
Cute little place that my wife and I discovered this afternoon while waiting for our take out order a couple doors over. We just had Americanos and they were enjoyable. The quiche and pastries looked great and we plan on returning soon to try something out. My wife says its nice to just go out for a coffee once in a while and not sit at home. She's already making plans to meet a girlfriend there. Photos to come with my edited review after the next visit.
It has a very French atmosphere. They did a very good job. Their hot drinks are good. Great place to enjoy a cup of coffee and a book. Support local businesses like this one.
Came here with my daughter and son for a hot chocolate and chocolate croissants to warm up after tobogganing and it was a very nice experience. Friendly service, nice music, cozy space, and good food and drinks. Definitely coming back.
