I had the most horrible experience at Ludo yesterday October 26th, 2025. The service was horrible and so was the food. Let me start by saying that I came here in the summer time with my friends and I ordered Abula with assorted meat and I got what I wanted, there were lots of meat in the food because again, assorted meat, beef, tripe etc., I also came twice after that and I have always ordered the same Abula so I know the portion and typically how many meat is in the food, about 6. Yesterday was totally different, one I had to wait a long time for my food, two, when the Abula came, it only had two meat. I am unsure if this is a recession indicator but do not start your service with a specific portion size and then downgrade. This is horrible for business. I lost appetite immediately because I felt cheated with the amount I paid, absolutely horrendous. 2. I decided to not let this ruin my mood and proceeded to order Tilapia fish to eat there. One hour later, the employee comes to ask me if it is to go. I told her no, I am eating it here, I already told her when she was taking my order initially that it was to eat here, mind you I ordered this around 9 pm, so now, not only am I not able to eat my Abula, I have now been deprived of eating tilapia because for some reason after 10pm, It’s mandatory that I take it to go, which is so ridiculous to me, something I ordered around 9:00pm. Third problem, my friend ordered jiggy platter, which comes with all sorts of things, including plantain option or yam. She told them she did not want plantain she wanted yam instead. They proceeded to charge her $15 extra for yam in addition to the amount for the jiggy platter itself coming up to $85, when she asked why she’s being charged extra for something that’s supposed to be included, she was given the lame excuse that Ludo is trying to push the plantain more on their menu, so they have to charge her for the yam. How is that our problem, why are we bearing the brunt for that, it’s ludicrous. This is stealing from your customers. The employee also had a nasty attitude toward my friend as well. The platters have also downgraded, two snails instead of 6 that usually comes with it. If you’re going to reduce the portions of your meals, cut down your price. I will post two pictures below, one for the Abula I had couple of times before this and one for the one I was presented yesterday so I know exactly what I’m talking about. You will see the stark difference between the two plates This is a bad business practice and some of your employees are just plain rude / forgetful. I left there without eating any of the food I paid for. There’s no reason I should wait an hour for food to eat there for them to now tell me I have to take it to go because it’s 10 pm, when I specifically said I was eating it there in the first place and your employee forgot this detail. Especially after I wasn’t able to eat the first meal. I spent $91.83 for a ridiculous meal and service. Very shameful, I am never coming back and I am telling everyone I know to never come to Ludo
If i could give a no star I will. Horrible pepper soup literally just magi pepper and salt water and meat. Horrible Oha soup palm oil water and salt n meat please look into your food i spent my money buying garbage
Nice ambience, cool music, nice waitress. But don’t visit there extremely hungry because the food comes out very late. Catfish peppersoup was nice and extremelyyyy spicy, ofada/ayamase was good too. No Abula on their menu but it’s on Uber eats
I ordered burgers from them while I was in the hospital after days of not eating solid food and being hospitalized, guess what guys I waited, my doctor waited, everyone waited 3 hours no food no order. My husband called to find out what’s going on well they had no burgers and you couldn’t cancel the order? The workers have much attitudes I’m never ordering from there ever again. I got to know about them from a girl who’s always promoting them I hate that she didn’t mention this part. You guys just opened uo to be having these issues. The girl with the short hair is the worst everyone complains about her.
Updated Review: I am utterly disappointed by the experience my friends and I had at Ludo yesterday. I’ve been to this location several times, and the service keeps declining,but last night was the final straw. I will NOT be returning. From the moment we arrived, we were treated poorly, as though we didn’t belong there or came for free food. The servers were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional, and the MC made the entire evening even more uncomfortable with a complete lack of coordination. What was supposed to be a fun Girls’ Night turned into an absolute nightmare. Our food took an unreasonable amount of time to arrive ,nearly two hours and when it finally did, the portions were noticeably smaller than usual. My friend ordered grilled fish, and when it arrived so late that she decided to take it to go, the staff simply handed us a paper box to pack it ourselves. Who does that? Since when do paying guests have to pack their own meals, especially after waiting that long? To make matters worse, it was a paper box we were handed to pack stewed fish, completely unprofessional and careless. We spent over $500 for this substandard service, poor coordination, and sheer disrespect. The MC even collected the microphone from us during karaoke, an experience that was supposed to be fun and lighthearted. I used to have high hopes for this establishment, but it’s clear the management has serious work to do. The service was only good when the restaurant first opened. This experience was a complete waste of time and money, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before coming here.
