Recently purchased a cargo van and had a great experience. Mike is a standup guy that definitely backs up his product. There was a check engine light that came on the day we went to pick up the vehicle, and without hesitation he offered to give us the opportunity to get it diagnosed and repaired at no cost. We scheduled an appointment to bring the vehicle back a few days later, but in the meantime, the air light turned off and has never come back on. Assuming that the issue might have been caused by low usage/older fuel. The vehicle has been fantastic, far exceeding our expectations. Communication and negotiations with Mike were pleasant and straightforward and we wouldn’t hesitate for one second to visit Mikate Motors next time we are looking for a preowned vehicle. Five stars for sure.
Purchased a vehicle from Mike in September. Within the first hour of picking up the vehicle, the check engine light came on for the O2 sensor and the fan blower motor resistor. I dropped off the vehicle for Mike and he had the vehicle for a few days. He fixed the blower motor resistor and made an attempt to fix the check engine light (replaced the exhaust gasket) but the check engine light came back on. I then dropped off the vehicle again, this time for 6 days and once I picked up the vehicle, the check engine light came back on after 10 minutes. I messaged Mike again and he did not offer any solution. So I concluded he won't fix the check engine light. I think asked Mike for a list of work that has been done to the vehicle so I have a record for maintenance and he refuses to provide that. It has been 2 months and he can't even provide me a list of work that has been done to the vehicle. Typical dealership, once they have your money, it's no longer their problem and they don't want to help you any further. Mike is not a trustworthy person.

He is quite fair, and the price was good for getting this new vehicle. Something that we could work with on our budget and still get a great product.
