I had my hair done last year and after bleaching and colouring my hair turned green. I have spent few hours for such result, left quite a fortune and on the top of it i've ended up with completely damaged hair. I had called to fix it, they were happy to do so but if they couldn't do it during my first visit how would i trust them again? I have used the products in London, UK, never had any issues with the results. The whole experience was just extremely disappointing, cannot believe how the salon has such a good reviews??
I was really impressed with how Christine sat down with me on my first visit and had a relaxed and thoughtful conversation with me about what my colour objectives were. She gave me a great colour choice to match my natural colour while giving me just a subtle lift with lowlights: I wouldn’t have known what to ask for, and this was a very different colour than what I had had before from somewhere else, but it was perfect. I’m convinced Christine came up with it because she took the time to really talk and listen. Everything was quick and easy. Would recommend this salon to anyone!
The same people who are complaining about this business making the decision not to allow the discussion of PERSONAL medical decisions re: a newly formulated vaccine to take place in their PRIVATELY OWNED salon, are the same ones who don’t even bat an eye at the companies that are mandating that all customers entering their store must be fully vaccinated because in their eyes those companies are ‘within their rights’ and tell others ‘if you don’t like it, don’t go there’. ? I for one, am grateful this company is doing something different for a change. Many of us are sick and tired of constant talks about the vaccines and the pandemic and want to get our hair done in a relaxing place with no Karens around. The medical decisions of others are none of anyone’s business. So long as you’re vaccinated, you’re protected, right? So you truly shouldn’t care who has their shots and who doesn’t. Mind your business and leave this business alone. In your famous own words—if you don’t like it, don’t go here. ?
Vaccines with regulatory approval are safe and effective!!!! Would prefer to visit a salon wherein we can freely discuss the wonders of modern medicine, for example safe and effective vaccines!!!
I love this salon and have been going there for years that I immediately booked an appointment on July 10, 2021 when it reopened. Christine is an excellent hairstylist and I was excited to get a haircut after more than a year. I was so happy to see her, Jessica and Jenny. However on July 17, 2021, the salon sent an email to its clientele which was a disappointment. It was more like censorship. The email is as follows - "ONE Salon is so very grateful and excited to have our wonderful clientele. It has been a busy two weeks and we can't wait to see you all! We would kindly like to mention that all conversations regarding VACCINATIONS will be not be permitted within the realm of One Salon. We trust and respect your decision to do what is best for your health, but also, respect the privacy of all patrons and staff alike. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation." I emailed the salon to let them know that this is an infringement on the freedom of expression which is in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom . There are only maybe 2-3 clients at a time for safety reasons. It is common to talk about different topics with your own stylist. To be sending out this email is so disrespectful. Maybe they should instead post a sign to keep quiet while in the salon or talking is not allowed while in the salon if they impose this kind of restriction. This salon even though a good one is not worth the time.
Great team and atmosphere. Been coming here for a few years and I appreciate the different products they use and how honest they are about coloring your hair and setting the right expectations (ie. It’s going to take more than one session to go grey). Steph is my go-to; she’s given me a few different styles over the years and they always grow out well and hair stays healthy between cuts. Highly recommend!!
The best hair colour results I have ever had! I at first was worried they wouldn’t be able to achieve the ashy blonde look I really really wanted but I was sooo surprised at how ash and bright blonde they were able to get my hair! Way nicer colour than the harsh chemicals I used to use. So so happy with them and I am one of those people that was in a perpetual search for the right hairdresser. Search over!
