To state that I am pleased with the services provided by Gem Windows and Doors is an understatement. After meeting with numerous door companies, I decided to go with this company, not because they had the door that I so wanted, but because I was treated extremely well, with much patience and professionalism. I very much appreciated Vito steering me in the right direction at times. His knowledge and expertise made my decisions that much easier to arrive at. The two installers who came, Robert and Bogdan, were extremely kind and polite and treated my property as if it was their own. I too appreciated Jim for swinging by on install date to wish the job a success, which it truly was. I highly recommend this company to anyone who requires a door installation. I wish I could say good things about Gem Windows and Doors, but sadly I cannot. So disappointed with their service dept. and their inability to complete a job to satisfaction. Purchased windows and doors May 2023 with an installation date of November 2023. Upon completion of install there were multiple deficiencies and missing parts. Came to an agreement with Gem that they would order necessary parts and come to finish when house was completed in June. They had 8 months to order what was needed. When their service dept. finally came to complete job they did not have all the required parts and most of what they did have was wrong. Multiple service calls later we are still not completed. There is definitely a disconnect between the service guy and the office. I have complained over and over again that I would like everything to be done already. At this point they have stopped all communication with me. Not returning my emails and phone calls. They have all my money but I do not a completed job. What happened to the company’s integrity and customer service? Don’t they want to be proud of their work? Guess not. I strongly cannot recommend them and will never use them again.
Dealing with Gem Windows and Doors (The Queensway) was a great experience: The showroom and expert product knowledge provided by Vito was outstanding. Our purchase of a huge sliding door went well and follow-up assistance was provided by Vito and Jim in a timely and helpful manner. Highly recommended.
I have to share the excellent experience I have had in dealing with Gem Windows & Doors. When we went to see the showroom we were so impressed with the vast selection offered to us - we wanted to purchase a new front door and we wanted something special. The team at Gem Windows were very accommodating, taking their time to show us a variety of options and features. We were so impressed with their knowledge and professionalism. When we made a decision they promptly scheduled an installation and again we were very impressed with the installers, professionalism and skillful installation. They did the job right the first time, working efficiently and they cleaned up after the job was done leaving us nothing to do but admire our new front door. We are very happy with our selection and when we are ready for our next project, we would definitely go back to Gem Windows and Doors. Thank you Gem we are very happy customers!
I was looking to deal with them but after reading the owner's responses to the reviews, nevermind. Guy toots his own horn when they are good and never seems apologetic when they are bad and continuously shifts the blame. Text book narcissist.
GEM replaced my patio door two weeks ago. The installers were very experienced and fast, it took no more than two hours. They cleaned up before leaving and left no mess. Great job!
I bought windows from Gem about 12 years ago. At the time they were very pleasant to deal with. I guess they wanted to sell me something.. As part of the deal i was offered a lifetime warranty on hardware. For about the last six months i have been trying to get someone out to my house to fix a few minor hardware problem and replace glass with poor seals. Despite assurances from Jim Christopoulos, the Presidents brother and the head of service that something would happen. Nothing has happened. I even offered to pay for service, no one has even set up an appointment. When they want to sell you something all is rosy but wait until you have service issues. You'll regret dealing with these people. Don't believe a word they tell you. They just want your money.
