Poor customer service. They said that they'd call me when the album arrived in store. A month later, I checked in with them. They had gotten my phone number wrong; hence, I never got the call. Two months after correcting my phone number, I checked in with them again. This time, they said the order got cancelled. Reportedly, they won't be getting the record in again and it cannot be ordered. Very strange. Guess I will have to give my money to another record store!
Went out of my way to visit this place, as I was particularly interested in their film collection. Upon arriving, I was surprised to find that all of their films are behind the counter, and are not available for browsing. You need to ask the staff to have a look at anything you’re interested in. This is the first time I have come across a setup like this. I understand that it is likely to address theft, but as a regular consumer just looking to spend his time looking through the titles, and potentially buy a few things, it is less than ideal, a little awkward and weird, and I probably won’t be visiting again because of it.
I LOVE this store. They have selection that you will not find at any other Sunrise, and even the hidden gem record stores! Also check out their cool movie and games/plushy selection! (and their posters, since my walls are too full of them now ahah). HUGE shout out to Robert. He remembers what music and bands customers love, he gives great suggestions, and he is such a friendly guy. Incredibly knowledgeable about music and pop culture. The world needs more people like him!
The vibe of this place is amazing and they have some really good collection. I just did not want to leave the store at all. The check out was Ok. But everything else was amazing :)
Honestly, the only place where I have hope to find what I’m looking for. It’s become extremely difficult to find a place, where you can buy physical cd’s and vinyls. The price is reasonable, compared to record stores in downtown Toronto. Great variety, and excellent customer service. 10/10 would recommend.
The sales prices were OK (many of the on sale 2019 releases were the best prices I have seen them - better than Amazon, but they weren't deep discounts, just slightly better ones). I liked the music playing in the store. There is a great amount of selection for music and movies here, but some of the non-sale prices are .. intense.. Monsters Inc. Blu-Ray had a 42.99 sticker on it. Not even the Disney Movie Club would sell it for that much.. even at full price with 4.99 + tax shipping .. Disney is a weird one to benchmark though since older versions can become collector's items because of the way they release things, and the demand for them in general. I wonder how Disney+ will impact prices... They seemed to have a large selection of monopoly versions here (at least for the untrained monopoly hating eye). The discount bin and used item bin had a few interesting things. I like stores like this, but there really aren't many left. And I spend so little on movies and music anymore.. I want to go again.. just don't know what I would buy..
Awesome looking store coming here is like going to hmv store they have t shirts, dvds, blurays, music cds and vinyls, posters and some little toys. The prices are fair depends what you get but for the most part its good. I highly recommend you check this store out if you miss the idea of going to a store similar to hmv. The guy worker said thank you when i bought something i know its not important but it is nice to get that kind of comment when other stores dont even care that you wanted to check them out
