Had issues with one of the simulators not turning on. The owner did come and get it resolved but we had challenges with balls coming back off the screen and hitting the us. It is a working simulator but there are lots of better options in the area.
Wow, that have really let this place go, Hitting mat all torn up, screen saggy with exposed wood frame everywhere, I almost got hit a few times with the ball rebounding back, lighting awful.. I would save you $$ and go to many other sims in the neighborhood...
Not sure if it was the bay I was at specifically: Bay 1 consistently had issues with the projector. Balls on flop shots would go behind the screen, as the fencing is detached from the background. The software used did not track well, friend clearly sliced the ball and software suggested it went 170yds straight Tees do not go into the turf and the turf is sinking at ball placement. Prefer going to tracer golf as they're cheaper, and the bays are better maintained.
We really like how many courses are available to play as well as the data that helps you know how you are striking the ball. Nice to have the muskoka chairs to lounge in between shots ?
The technology is there to make this sim well worth the price, but the facility itself is a little rough around the edges. I found the bay I was in to be dark and the mats were very worn, but again nothing game breaking. Also, the lack of rubber range tees was disappointing. Overall, an alright spot to work out the clubs.
In short: this facility is excellent and definitely worth spending a session or two in. There's a bit of a learning curve with the simulator software. This facility is really cool. It admittedly took me a few minutes to figure out how to actually use the software, and for some reason no matter which club I set, it would always default it to the driver (EDIT: I figured it out on the second visit. You have to select the proper club in the projector program as well as the computer monitor program)... But otherwise it wasn't too difficult to use. Once I figured out how to end the previous user session and went on my way, I had a really fun time. The price for an hour was comparable to a jumbo bucket at most driving ranges and the feedback you get was very informative. It's definitely a place I want to come back to. I've been reading other reviews about this place and it seems like the owner is actually interested in listening to suggestions and improving service, and I think that's incredibly impressive. I think having an account-based system on the website would be very helpful to quickly book time slots. When your booking is almost up you have a 15 minute window to book more time, I just think it would be a bit more convenient if we could store payment options instead of having to input it each time. It's not a huge issue, though. I also saw on the website that they're looking for club professional to offer lessons, and I really hope the find someone because that would make this place even better.
Great facility, especially for those just looking for a place to practice. Really like the simple approach and low key environment. Blog post on website also helps with a more in depth understanding of software - which is a worthwhile read if it’s your first time
