I came in on a Sunday looking for a bouquet and wasn’t sure where to start, but Amanda, the floral designer, immediately made me feel welcome! She greeted me with such warmth and genuine excitement to help. Amanda carefully listened to what I needed, offered amazing suggestions, and crafted the most gorgeous bouquet then wrapped it so beautifully. Her talent, energy, and kindness made the whole experience unforgettable. Amanda went above and beyond, and it’s clear she truly loves what she does. I will definitely be back when I need another bouquet made

We go here all the time, great collection of plants and pots. The staff is very helpful and informative, answers all our questions regarding plant care in all seasons

I am a long time customer of this nursery. They have a great selection of plants/trees, and are generally able to order any specific varieties you're looking for if you give them enough of a heads up. Staff is also very knowledgeable and generally very friendly if you're looking for specific advice. I recently had an issue in store, whilst attempting to claim a warranty on a shrub that had died. The manager, Adam, was very helpful and kind in clearing up that situation, for which I was very grateful. Will continue to shop here and encourage others to also.

I was at Islington Nurseries yesterday. I am not sure if they have changed ownership. If they have, it isn't for the better. They have fancied everything up on Evans, but certainly did nothing to improve customer service. While I I was asking questions, at the order desk the employee was taking personal calls and then when she asked a colleague to help me, he said "I'm taking a break' and that was it. Hmmm. Not good. I went outside to look for the stones I'm looking for and I could not get any help. When I found someone, she also said she could not help. Before Islington Nurseries fancies up their customer centre building they should first look at training their employees to offer better service to customers. I hope you make some changes.

Roses were not fresh, but there is no way to see it until they are packed since the fridge is 4 meters away from you as well as the packaging station. Also, waisted a lot of time since forgot the face mask at home. If you require a mask in you store, masks should be available at the front entrance for customers. Bad customer service.

I decided to stop in today at approx 3pm and my experience with a employee by the name of Pat was absolutely unacceptable. When I arrived I was 3rd in line. Shortly thereafter 2 customers left the store and both customers in front of me entered the store without prompts or issue from staff. Prior to me entering the store a family of 3 left - I thought I would also enter the store just as the 2 persons did before me. I was rudely stopped by Pat and told to wait for permission. I was speechless but waited outside as she requested. Even the customers behind me were confused and asked what had happened and why I was turned away despite 3 people just leaving. When I was finally allowed into the store I asked for the name of the staff member (Pat) and tried to explain that I was simply entering because others had left....just as the persons in front of me did. She would not even let me speak, became incredibly rude and argumentative. Oddly enough, I was the only POC in the line and in the store at the time. I am not one for confrontation and after that experience I was not going to spend a dollar to support this business so I left. I truly hope she was just having a bad day and this was not a racial issue however I cannot help but be hurt and embarrassed by the treatment I received today and will surely never return to Islington Nurseries. I manage rental properties for several clients in the GTA and will ensure that my clients and landscapers do not source our flowers from this company either. Please train your staff to treat ALL customers with compassion and dignity.
