Bought and installed laminate flooring with this store one year ago summer 2020. Maz at the store helped us at the time (not sure if he is still there); he provided really good service and was easy to reach and communicate with; willing to work with us as our condo had various requirements. Their prices are also pretty good compared to a few other places we checked, and I had come to this business on the recommendation of a friend who had a good experience as well. The installer they sent was also really good, very quick and very accommodating to other needs (strict condo requirements; installing during COVID-19, etc.) Almost one year later the floors are doing pretty well. We have pets with claws walking on the floor but there has not been anything noticeable and overall we are pretty satisfied. We went with a brand called 1867 12mm MacKenzie; that is what the photos show. Hope this helps with your flooring project.
On June 5th 2021 I saw Maz at 532 Evans Avenue in Etobicoke. I was buying Vinyl hardwood for the condominium. I said to him that I will buy it now so I don't have to drive again but don't order it till I get an approval from the building. On June 11th I called him and I said I want to cancel the order. He said he has to check with their Markham office and he will call me back. I did not get a call back. Then I called twice again then he says you come to the store and he will give me the credit. On June 19th I went to the store he tells me that I have to go to Markham to get my money back. I said I paid to you so you should give me the money back. He started arguing and yelling. I said ok give me the sample he says I have to go to Markham for sample and to get the product. Which he did not mention before. I came out of the store being upset I called their Markham store they say why would we give you the refund if you buy from him then he should give you the refund. So I went back because he had another customer there he gave me the refund keeping 15% restocking fee. The item is not even order how is it costing him to restock? Do not go to this store. Actually if there is one lier sales person the whole company must be like that as they hire people like him. Oh he also charged me $120 for underpad which I did not need. After leaving that store I went to the other store close to their store. They gave me free sample which Maz did not want to give me. The other store said buy it only when you get the permission from the condominium. What a change. Never ever deal with this guy again.
The experience was great from start to finish. Kevin was very helpful in choosing my flooring without being pushy. Kevin kept my flooring until I was ready to install. The install by Fernando was quick and well-done. The price was well below other laminate flooring stores. Excellent customer service and return policy for left over boxes.
