If you haven’t tried the Guava Chicken sandwich, you need to get in your car and get it right now. This sandwich was the most incredible thing I have ever tasted, I could not stop raving about it. Fast and friendly service was a bonus! But seriously you need this sandwich in your life, absolutely perfect!!!
Just had the best chicken sandwich of my life at the Relish Foodie Event in Etobicoke. The Guava Chicken from ‘Tropical South’. The proprietor of Cuban descent, has a long history with food that shows in the quality and flavour of this sandwich. I wish he could remain there until I could try everything!
My first introduction to Tropical South was at Supercrawl 2024 and needless to say, I’ve been a massive fan ever since. I’ve also visited their food truck in Paris, ON and was delighted to see them again at Supercrawl 2025. They are my go-to for fresh, bold flavours and friendly service. My favourite menu items are the guava chicken sandwich, Havana tropic juice and tostones. I can’t recommend Tropical South enough!
Was so lucky to try the El Cubano and Papamania with beef from the food truck at Supercrawl 2025… as I write this review I’m sitting waiting for my second order because we came back!!! To have more before the festival ended. This is some of the best food I’ve ever tasted. Just stunning. No words. You have to try it and see. Thank you
