I received excellent service with Andrew Sliwa from Custom Prototypes. He took the time to explain the prototyping process and he understood the vision I was trying to achieve. The prices are very reasonable and the quality of the prototypes was above and beyond my expectations. Will be doing business again!
Came in trying to create a custom visor for a performance helmet. Andriy and the team scanned the helmet, created a design that was fantastic and iterated quickly to add more features as we could dream them up. The cost was reasonable and the team carefully engineered the visor so that all of our requirements were met. The team also was able to quickly iterate through ideas that we had that didn’t work out and saved us money by providing us with estimated models before completing the finer details. This was a huge cost savings for us. It’s a solid team of good people who work hard and know what they are doing. This is the place you should come for anything custom that you can imagine! Andrew, Andriy and team will take care of you, like they did for us.
Custom Prototypes is a hidden gem! On a Ferrari 612, the F1A gearbox control module failed and wouldn't let me put it in reverse. It turned that a plastic part about 1 cm square that is the interface between the gear lever and the reverse actuator had broken inside the module. I was stuck - to my. knowledge you can't order this part alone - Ferrari will sell you a replacement module which is about a $10k part. Custom Prototypes measured all dimensions carefully, accounted for what the part would look like with the piece that had broken off, took some measurements within the module, created a computer (CAD?) model for the part, and printed a sample part for me to test within 24 hours. I was able to install it, confirm that it worked, and move the car. After letting Andriy know, he went ahead and made a new part (with spares!) in a stronger/more durable plastic. Can't say enough about this shop - good people who do good work.
Came across Custom Prototypes when looking for options to get a replacement part for my kids SKLZ Quickster Soccer Net. Wasn’t able to get replacement parts from where the net was purchased or through the distributor/manufacturer, so my kids basically brand new net wasn’t usable. Stopped by Custom Prototypes, spoke to Andrew. He was great. I explained what we needed and what it was for. Left him with the yellow net post that the piece we needed, needed to fit into and left him with the black pole that needed to fit into the piece. Andrew made us a replacement part in a few days. My kids are thrilled as am I. Would recommend Custom Prototypes and Andrew…they were great!
Stopped at Custom Prototypes because I’m working on a couple projects with my kids. Spoke to Andrew, he was fantastic. He took the time to explain to my kids their options, timelines. He was patient and answered all their questions. Haven’t even moved forward with the project yet, because my kids have some things to consider. Would recommend Andrew and Custom Prototypes without hesitation…the willingness to provide information without no pressure/sales tactics.
