I'm sorry but there PadThai is terrible, chicken was dry, chewy and tasted off sauce was just bad and way too much of it, I spent $18 on 1 small Bowl and barley ate half i had to throw it out!
AWFUL !! Can I have my $90 back USED TO BE GREAT - BUT WILL NEVER ORDER AGAIN (Check recent reviews not the ones from way back) As a chef of 20+ years I have seen so many restaurants get a good rep then start cutting corners to make more profit. We ordered the same as always but this time the dishes were ‘bulked up’ with massive chunks of peppers. The chicken didn’t taste of anything and the crispy beef was as tough as GRANDMAS LEATHER BOOTS. Pad Thai was virtually all liquid and the shrimp dish had maybe 4 or 5 tiny shrimp in it. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY
Beautiful cozy thai restaurant. Nice ambience and good taste. Not very crowded and mainly take out order I noticed. Food was good and clean. Parking is a bit tricky/less.
There may have been a change in management as the food quality has dropped from the previous times we’ve ordered from this place. The chicken in chilli chicken was very hard. Vermicelli noodles were used instead of glass noodles and it had more Hakka flavours than Thai. Jasmine rice was used for fried rice and it wasn’t flavourful. We want to support local businesses so hope management uses this critique to better the food. Please don’t use left over chicken and vegetables as it makes the texture very hard to chew.
terrible place, the hours online and on the sign right on the window says that they’re open till 11 and i’ve been there three times already before 11 and they say that they’re close with customers sitting down.
Update January 2025: Went back for lunch with a friend and had Thai Chicken Wings, Vegetarian Spring Rolls and Vegetarian Vintage Pad Thai. The food were all freshly prepared and were delicious. They had big portions too, the Pad Thai is good enough for two. For dessert we had Mango Sticky Rice with Cashew Nuts. The sticky rice had coconut milk and was so tasteful. Our server Dahara provided excellent customer service. We will surely go back to try other items in the menu. Had a late lunch at Vintage Thai. My first time eating at this restaurant which serves Thai and Malaysian cuisine. I ordered the Thai Lemon Soup (Tom Yam) with Shrimps, Vegetable Samosa and the Fish and Spicy Sauce (Pla Rard Pirk). The soup has a generous serving of mushrooms, with lemon grass, lime juice and chili and served hot. With the fish, there was a choice of either salmon fillet or whole red snapper and I chose the latter. It was so worth it. The whole fish was fried to a crisp and bathed in a spicy curry chili coriander and garlic sauce. I can also taste the coconut milk. It also had mushrooms, red bell pepper and bokchoy. It was well seasoned and so flavourful, I just love it. The fish is actually good for two. I also ordered Thai Chicken Wings to go and they were delicious. I will surely go back to this place and will recommend it. Customer service is excellent and the price is reasonable.
This quaint restaurant was a most welcome surprise! I enjoyed a few excellent dishes. Very well prepared, fresh, served hot. This restaurant is well worth trying. The staff is delightful!
