Perhaps it was a great club in the past, but they have quickly switched gears to a money making factory. Groups are packed with kids, unrealistic to expect any sort of instruction for the swimmers. Unrealistic expectations and demands of 85 volunteer hours and the constant threat of financial penalty. There is a lack of transparency as to where funds are allocated. You can do better Eswim

Was a great club until they let the Board of Directors make all the decisions and took away the coaches voices. For all the parents who are now there and complaining the coaches are hard on the kids "this is not SPLASH, it's Eswim!" if you are worried about your kids feeling, have them take cooking lessons or a sport where they don't take score. Sadly the Board now makes the decisons and have removed some of the greatest coaches any kid could ever have! Good luck to the new head coach. Do yourself a favor, log into Amazon and get a back bone! It will take a long time to rebuild this team to the level it was at especially if the coaches have no voices.

I sign up my kid for spring 2022 session and summer camp 2022. It was a waste of money and energy as the coaches is not interested in teaching the kids correct posture or technical skills. The program was very boring and the coach in charge of the program was no passion. They just want to take as many as kids for money but probably city of Toronto swimming program run a better swimming program. Also , after we registered, the administration mistakenly remove and delete our account. We becomes not on their communication list and they never noticed that mistake utill one day we show up in a empty pool for practice. No one was there cause everyone else received email except us. The coaches never go inside the water , they just yell and chat to each other on the pool side. It was very nice pool but unfortunately very disorganized and disappointing team .

I wouldn't recommend it. Went here about 4 years ago and tutors expected you to know all their terms. I also had to wake up at 6AM on a Sunday because classes started at 6:40. The water is also pretty cold.

Exceeds excellence!! Thank you to the staff, coaches, pool facility, fellow parents. With the growing number of swimmers joining over the time since we've joined, it's obvious others see your great work as well. Thank you.

Cant give it a zero as my child was there for a couple years. As time passed, its clear that the competitive program only cares about the elite athletes. One coach for 20 plus kids. That one coach really pushes the "elite" and the rest are truly not coached or instructed. Kids that are hard working, have great attitudes and great attendance but are not "elite" are there simply for financial reasons. During my childs time there he/she always put best times forward but guess that was not good enough. 10 year old kids are told "your spot is not secure". If someone else comes along that they feel is better, they will get bumped out of the club. Doesnt give the kids a sense of security or confidence. Not sure how you can tell a 10 year old that, especially one that is very well liked, a hard worker and someone who really supported Eswim throughout their time there. Not to mention that our kid hasnt fully developed physically or develop mentally for that matter. I guess Penny Olyniak would have got cut under these same rules with her late start to swimming. Head Coach Kevin Thornburg and Endi Babi wouldnt know your kids names if they walked right by them, but they are the ones cutting 10 year old kids that have been swimming in their system for over 2 years. Do your kids a favor and go to another club that actually cares about your kids like TSC .They dont look at them as dollar $igns.

Thank you for your feedback. ESWIM is a not-for-profit swim club and all financials are fully audited and transparent. The requirement for volunteer hours has not changed in decades and hosting a full slate of meets at the Olympium is part of being an ESWIM member. This is widely know and the expectation is transparent at the outset of registration.
