The only reason for this review is the amazing service I received from the staff! The food was great, and the customer service was decent, especially Ashwin, who took our order was the best. The servers were friendly, and hats off to the staff on-site. The food was absolutely awesome, and my personal favourite was the rasam rice11 out of 10! The taste was authentic and delicious. Definitely a must-visit branch in Etobicoke

Brilliant South Indian food. I have lived in South Indian for a long time; So you can trust me when i say that it was really authentic and great quality.

Best Podi masala Idli and Podi masala dosa in Canada(just order masala on side to enjoy crunchy dosa)… it is better than what we had in India for years.

I just want love this place. Living here for last two years but found this gem this year only. But I want to have dosa this is the perfect place to go to and please order onion thool bahji on side as well.

I was craving a South Indian thali, and Magadhi Etobicoke truly didn’t disappoint. The thali was delicious and generously portioned. It has quickly become our go-to spot, and we’ve even started bringing our friends along. Absolutely finger-licking good! Our all-time favourites — Gobi 65, Ghee Podi Dosa, and now the Thali as well. So far, the taste and quality have never been compromised. Highly, highly recommended!

Magadhi is a fantastic place for authentic South Indian food. The flavors are rich, fresh, and truly traditional. Their dosas are perfectly crispy, idlis are soft and fluffy, and the sambar and chutneys are full of flavor. Every dish tastes homemade and well-balanced with spices. The service is quick and friendly, and the staff is always welcoming. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and great for both family dining and casual outings. Portions are generous and pricing is very reasonable for the quality.

⚠️ Me and my girlfriend visited this restaurant at 6:18 PM on my birthday. We also did not tell the restaurant that it was my birthday because I'm not about getting freebies. After being seated, our food arrived at 6:36 PM. We ordered two Mysore masala dosas, a lassi, and masala tea. We finished eating around 7:15 PM and decided to order dessert at 7:27 PM. Along with dessert, I added a filter coffee, and we finished everything by 8:00 PM. What we didn’t realize was that the staff was tracking how long we had been seated. We were approached twice and told we had exceeded a one hour seating limit something that was never mentioned when we arrived, nor posted anywhere in the restaurant. By that time, we had already placed an additional takeout order for vada and idli. While we were still paying customers and waiting for our food to be prepared, we were told we needed to leave because “people were waiting for a table.” In all my years of dining out, I have never been asked to leave a restaurant while still eating and actively ordering more food. When we asked others who were waiting if they were waiting for a table, they said they were only there for takeout so being told we were taking up space for waiting diners felt misleading. We drove an hour to try this place for the first time and spent over $70, yet the way we were treated was disappointing and unprofessional. We will not be returning, and we want others to be aware of this experience. If the restaurant has a strict time limit, it should be clearly communicated before seating customers. Transparency and respectful service go a long way.
