Extremely Disappointed After 8 Years of Loyalty I’ve been a loyal customer for 8 years, but today’s experience was unacceptable. I bought a 63-inch item and was charged for a 64-inch. When I showed the posted price and item list, I was told the price was wrongly posted — as if it’s my fault. Instead of honoring the listed price, I was told I could either match the price elsewhere or get 10% off as a registered account holder. That’s not how loyal customers should be treated. There are plenty of other places to buy food equipment that actually value their long-term customers. P

Hello, I’m reaching out regarding my recent purchase of a cooler and fridge from Canada Food Equipment. This was my first experience buying from your company, and I had expected a high standard of service and support. Unfortunately, right after plugging in the units, they began making a rattling noise that has only gotten worse. I initially left them running for a bit, hoping it would resolve on its own, but it hasn’t. As the owner of a grocery store, I simply can’t have equipment like this on the floor — it reflects poorly on my business and causes operational issues. What’s even more disappointing is the lack of support when I tried to reach out. I was advised to hire a mechanic, even though I had just received the equipment and hadn’t used it for more than a few hours. I am extremely disappointed at this point, and I’m unsure of what to do next. This has left a very poor impression, especially for customers like myself who are located outside of Ontario. I cannot recommend this experience to others unless the situation is addressed. I’d appreciate it if someone could follow up with me promptly and offer a proper resolution.
Came here for years to buy supplies for my food trucks. Bought used appliances here for the first time and they are all complete trash. Bought 2x triple Pepsi fridges, and 2 deep fryers. One fryer is fine, the other has been repaired twice in the 6 months I've had it. One Pepsi fridge works, but needed a repair to work. The other has had a new compressor and temp control and still doesn't work. Spoke to owner and manager and was scolded for not plugging things in at their shop before leaving. Was also scolded that I was warned I should buy new not used... if your appliances really are fixed up that shouldn't have mattered. Owner offered to pay for parts, not labour to fix them... well I'm tossing the one Pepsi fridge as it still doesn't work. Spent a couple thousand dollars trying to fix this broken equipment. Covering parts is a drop in the bucket towards the huge amount of cash I've wasted on this equipment. Feel like I was ripped off for thousands of dollars despite me being a long-time customer. Safe to say, I'm never shopping here again.
Do not recommend to anyone to purchase any used equipment from here! the clean damaged equipment and sell to you while they wont work for than a month, and after that no guarantee! you have to spend same amount you spend for the equipment to fix them! and if you decide to sell the same item back to them they buy for penny! I got used salad bar TRUE and upright fridge TRUE from Canada Food, they worked for less than a month, when i asked to return it to them, they offer $100-$120 for the fridges i bought for $2000-$2500 each
I am opening up a new shop alongside one of my artisan suppliers (two companies under one roof) and this place exceeded our expectations! We were in the market for two 3 door used fridges and we found exactly what we were looking for with the help of Jonathan! We couldn't have done it without him. We were both so shocked to see how high the morale was between the employees at this place and Johnathan explained that they do not work on commission. This makes the world of a difference when you are looking for honest pricing for equipment. Jonathan is friendly, professional, funny and is such a genuine salesman (two words seldom heard in the same sentence) and we are so grateful that he helped us find what we needed for the next chapter in each of our ventures. This was such a fun and positive experience for us!! The other factor that was quite surprising was the size of the place! It is HUGE, they have absolutely everything from brand new to endless rows of used equipment. But the best part is the refurbishing warehouse!!! Once we picked out our fridges, they got sent to be refurbished. New paint, new parts etc. They're getting facelifts! Talk about a one stop shop. We were so happy that Jonathan took us to see the whole operation. It is so cool. Our fridges will arrive this week and we can't wait to receive them.
