Passport Canada called and said the picture was too bright; went back to the store and they wouldn’t retake the picture without Passport Canada sending back the picture with a note explaining why it was rejected. I always support small businesses, but in this case go to Shoppers a few doors down instead - was cheaper and they took so many pictures until they made sure everything was to Passport Canada standards. Also, they mentioned they will retake and refund as long as you can show proof of purchase.
I had a fantastic experience with Pro One Hour Photo. The staff was friendly, efficient, and clearly knew their craft. I brought in some old film rolls I wasn’t even sure would develop properly, but they handled them with care and delivered great-quality prints within the hour — just like the name promises!
Extremely rude and unprofessional. Very cheap treatment and customer service. I wasted my early leaving from work to get there before 5:00 pm. and the $23 and change for pictures that were ultimately rejected by Canada Passport Office. I didn't even bother to go back and make a claim. They're cheap. Save yourself some time and money and go somewhere else.
I got my passport photos done here and they were rejected. When I went back to request new ones at no additional cost I was called a liar and they refused to take new photos for me. I was being very kind and reasonable, willing to give the store another chance to get the photos right and keep my business, and was met with such hostility. I couldn’t have had more proof — the receipt, the description of the reasons why the photos were rejected from Service Canada’s Passport Office, a voicemail message from the office. I was still told that I was a liar. This place lacks integrity. The store owner said that in over a decade of being open they had never once had photos be rejected, yet the reviews here on Google state differently. Both of the owners are extremely rude and unreasonable.
STEER CLEAR! Today I was sitting for my passport photos when a customer come in to calmly request a refund for passport photos that were rendered unusable by Service Canada. Despite the customer having her receipt and proof that Service Canada did not accept the photos taken here, the manager was extremely unreasonable and combative, refusing either new photos or the refund. I was completely shocked at how rude he was being towards this woman. I can’t imagine how much more vile he would have been towards her if I hadn’t been present in the store during the conversation…. I got up and walked out without getting my photos taken. I simply refuse to support a business that doesn’t act with integrity and doesn’t do what’s right. It was a black and white case… she couldn’t have brought in more proof and was still being called a liar. The owner also mentioned that in 12 years of business no photos had ever been rejected for any customers, yet upon reading here there are many reviews from others stating photos were rejected. DONT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!!!!
As others have mentioned, unfortunately this establishment is not aware of current passport photo requirements leading to photos being rejected, which is what occurred with us. Now the government is on strike so this will really set us back. Very disappointed.
i will not recommend this place. The woman did not took the picture well and was rejected. And we paid twice to have our picture taken again. Such a waste.
