We consulted with Peter for a pre-assessment of our front yard to explore building a parking pad. From our first conversation, he was extremely knowledgeable and honest. He provided a fair assessment based on our property’s specific features and ultimately advised that our permit would likely be rejected for valid reasons. I truly appreciate his integrity; he didn’t mislead us by promising a project that wasn’t viable. He was also incredibly patient and responsive to all my questions. Although we couldn’t move forward with the parking pad, we will 100% be using his services for our future front yard remodel.
Front yard parking pad & landscaping From the very beginning of our front yard parking pad journey, we felt that we were in great hands with Peter & his team. We had a hard time visualizing what could be done with our not so attractive front lawn & Fred designed a simple, yet beautiful space that suited our overall aesthetic & was within our budget. Peter and his team did a complete teardown and rebuild of our backyard (a Toronto semi) over a couple of months in 2020, installing two new fences with gates, two new decks, a stone patio with natural gas fire pit, and fresh landscaping. This summer, we enlisted Green Apple Landscaping again to undertake our back yard makeover. (They transformed our front yard last year) We wanted to enlarge our patio to make it more functional for our own use and entertaining, as well as replace our existing pergola to provide a more private, shaded area. Peter worked out a great design to enhance the space and give us what we were looking for. The work by the team (Victor and Simon) was done with the utmost attention to detail, design and basic logistics of grade issues, etc. that arose. The cedar pergola they built is a beauty in itself and, with the new patio, we have a great new outdoor space. Their work is superb and we are absolutely thrilled with the results! We searched for the right company to design and plant a new garden in the front and to the side of our house including installing anew flagstone walkway. The staff including Victor, Simon, Andrea and Deb were all professional, very experienced and attentive to our wishes. We could not be happier and in fact, will be contracting soon to do more. We also liked their guarantees, environmentally green approach and their attention to detail. Peter, the owner, was extremely attentive and ensured that we were completely satisfied. They also recommended installation of an irrigation system, which will not only save us time but ensure the long term viability of our new plants. An overall great experience!
We were recommended Green Apple Landscaping when we were applying for a front yard parking permit for our property in Toronto. We worked with Andrea to come up with a landscape proposal that met both the requirements of the front yard parking bylaw and the visual aesthetic we were looking for. Where Green Apple differed from other companies was that they contacted the Right of Way Management Office to make sure their landscape proposal met the city bylaw. Peter was very helpful in helping us navigate the whole application process and was able to share with us his experience with front yard parking permit applications. When the city finally approved our proposal, Green Apple promptly scheduled in our project and the work was completed in a very timely manner. The crew was professional, friendly, efficient and did an excellent clean up after each work day. Peter followed up with us to ensure that everything was going well. Andrea also worked with us to select plants for our garden and kept in mind our request for a low maintenance garden. We are very happy with our new front deck, garden and paved front yard parking pad.
After meeting with several landscapers, we hired Green Apple to remove a concrete parking pad from the front of our house, and replaced with soft landscaping and a permeable walkway. Dave and his crew created a lovely walkway and three flowerbeds. They were punctual and the craftsmanship is terrific. Dave is friendly, responsive and sincere with his recommendations. He took the time to go over several options with us and was very accommodating to changes we wanted to make. Highly recommended!
