We’ve eaten here before and the food was really good, however we came in again recently and it was empty. There was no server, a handful of the tables were dirty with dishes and food, and despite us waiting for someone to serve us, no one came, so we ended up walking out.
Ordered a meal without egg...it came with egg. Had a pop, asked for a glass with ice, no ice. Definitely a language barrier here. Decent food. Would not return.
What we like is that the taste is authentic Korean. The sizzling plates were good but the bulgogi portion was small for the price. The pork belly and beef bbq was no go as the slices were way too thin for proper grilling. I would recommend takeout or pick up for the sizzling plates.
Hangover soup for $19. What kind of world do we live in?! Pure greed. This isn’t worth more than $7. Takes $3 to make, I brew this at home. Theres AYCE sushi down the road.
Food was nice and so atmosphere and great service "I recently dined at Donchon and had an amazing experience! The food was delicious and plentiful, with generous portions at a great price. The service was top-notch - our server was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for a night out with friends or family. I highly recommend trying their ginger beef and Cantonese chow mein - they're definitely menu highlights! We'll be back for sure"
If you want Korean food and you have low standards it’ll be enough. If you know Korean food this is not Korean food. Food was 1/5 Service was good 4/5 The food was edible at best but it wasn’t Korean flavours, more of a mix of chinese and Korean. The Korean style Fred chicken 3.5/5 Spicy rice cake with ramen 3/5 Miso soup 1/5 Mackerel - 0/5 pretty sure it went bad
Went here with a group of 8 for the first time on Saturday. We were extremely impressed with the quality of the food. I had a previous Korean spot in the area but I gotta say this was even better. Staff very nice, seems family owned as well. We liked it so much we went back the following day again. Highly recommend
