True authentic cuisine from the food to the atmosphere it was a wonderful experience. I had the Chikara bento box and everything was delicious! The wine paired well with our meal. I also had taro ice cream that was a unique flavour profile every bite kept me wanting more. This is a must try place if you’re staying in the area. Thank you to the friendly staff that helped us select our meal!
This was our second visit to this restaurant. We loved the freshness and quality of the seafood. The service both times was excellent. We were a little weary of going in initially because the restaurant looked dated and was not busy. We were pleasantly surprised! If you stay at the Delta Toronto Airport don’t pass this place by!
We had a fantabulous dinner at Ginko's. The staff were really friendly and professional. They were meticulously attentive and always ready to take requests. The food was really good as well. We had the Chikara dinner (not photographed), and the Ume dinner. The dinners came with miso soup. It wasn't particularly busy on the Saturday night when we went, but the food did come out really fast. If you're in the Toronto area by the airport, and you're in the mood for a quiet place to have dinner at it's worth checking out. They validate your parking also!
If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! I had the kenko bento and it was so authentically Japanese that it reminded me of the meals they would serve at ryokans in Japan. But I guess that makes sense, seeing as the restaurant is inside a hotel. Absolutely impressed that a takeout meal was able to convey a message through flavours that worked very well together. The overall selection was very well balanced, and just right!! There wasn't a single grain of rice left after I was done eating. Thank you, I will be back again!
3 stars was for waitress. Had a sashimi regular and toro for 50 dollars. 12 pieces was small portion. Dissapointed. All you can eat sushi restos were close by $38 for all you can eat sushi.
Authentic Japanese restaurant. Restaurant will provide you the parking ticket so don’t worry. This restaurant is in the Delta hotel. Food is ok, service is great because they Japanese. Everything done to perfection. Honestly wasn’t too hungry so i just ordered a couple of sushi and it turned out the salmon was fresh and nice, not something out of the box and awesome just decent sushi roll. They also serve like dinner sets and all if you into those. Overall not bad, but would not go here. Thanks
I’m having sushi in Brazil, so close to the ocean you can smell fish on the street. I expect the sushi to be good and it is but something is missing. I find myself reminiscing about the exquisite experience I had at Ginko last week. The misu soup was so delicious, a Kimura family recipe, impossible to duplicate. The sashimi flavors included a fish flown in directly from Japan and the service personified the respect that the Japanese culture is famous for. It is details like this that separate Ginko from all other sushi restaurants. When eating in Toronto there really is no better option than Ginko Japanese Restaurant. Arigatou
