0% fault, it has been 7 weeks since my claim. I have accepted their terrible offer. Now they are trying to not pay me out at all. They have caused me a dishabilitating amount of stress and anxiety. They have left me with no way to travel to see my family for Christmas. I am walking an hour to work wach way in snow storms. They can't give me an ETA, managers refuse to reach out. When I finally 'heard' from a manager (an employee passed along a message from said manager) I was told if I wasn't happy, to cancel my claim or call a lawyer ? Now they are threatening to not pay out the claim, make me pay for my rental and the lot fee where they are currently holding my car hostage and won't give it back (but also keep charging me everyday that it is there) 0/10 customer service 0/10 any Watch out for Mitchelle Kibogy and her Manager 'Jenn'
These guys are the worst of the worst when it comes to handling your claims! Joti Dhaliwal (adjuster) and Turgut Malik are the most incompetent people I have ever dealt with. Do your self a favor don't insure your precious home or auto insurance with them! They have the worst and nastiest ways to handle your claim.
Extremely Disappointing Experience with Intact/Belair and On-Side Restoration After my previous insurance provider was acquired by Intact/Belair, I filed my first property claim, expecting a smooth process. Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. Initial Response: Prompt but Misguided The initial callback was timely, but the guidance provided was confusing. Despite submitting clear photographic and video evidence of a dishwasher issue, I was instructed to hire a plumber out of pocket to determine the cause. After further discussion, the adjuster agreed that an appliance technician was more appropriate after my husband suggested it. However, verifying reimbursement for this technician took an unreasonably long time due to the adjuster's unresponsiveness. Reimbursement Challenges: Once the invoice was submitted, it was initially denied because it included both the diagnostic fee and potential repair costs. After clarifying the situation, reimbursement was eventually processed, but the delay was frustrating. Lack of Communication and Support: Inquiries about claim options went unanswered for more than 2 weeks as the adjuster was on unexpected leave, and no one took over her caseload. It wasn't until we escalated the matter to her manager that we received the necessary information. On-Side Restoration: Subpar Service: We chose to proceed with On-Side Restoration in Kitchener, their preferred vendor. However, the tile installation in our kitchen was poorly executed, resulting in crooked tiles and misaligned cabinetry. Despite our concerns, On-Side dismissed the issue, claiming the installation was proper without taking any measurements. Attempts to address the problem have been met with slow responses and a lack of accountability. Conclusion: This experience has been extremely disappointing. The lack of clear communication, delayed responses, and substandard service from both Intact/Belair and On-Side Restoration have led to unnecessary stress and unresolved issues. I would not recommend these companies to anyone seeking reliable and efficient service. In addition On-Side is owned by Intact, you are better off doing the work yourself.
This past summer, I experienced a basement flooding incident, and I’m so grateful to have had Belairdirect as my home insurance provider. The claims process was seamless, and every staff member I interacted with, especially the adjuster, was incredibly caring, professional, and supportive. Their prompt assistance and empathy truly made a challenging time much easier to navigate. The service I received from Belairdirect exceeded all my expectations. I highly recommend Belairdirect to anyone in need of reliable and excellent insurance services.
Quite efficient. Went in for an accident claim. Was attended promptly and politely. Got a rental immediately and the job was completed fairly quickly. However the time for me to pick up my car and return the rental was not properly communicated. It seemed like an ultimatum.
What’s up with the service wait time getting back to a customer? It’s insane , this is the 4th time calling and waiting for a response or for someone to pick up , dear management, no I don’t wanna hear “sorry about this problem contact us to talk…” nah just talk to your staff and tell them to be on par , we are paying customers and you guys can’t pickup a phone call I think it’s either time to hire new staff or look for a new insurance company
