Very unpleasant experience with a new employee today. i have been coming here for almost 4 months and never had a problem with my british columbia id. today this huge black woman stopped me at the door and i showed her my BC id since i dont have any ontario id except the paper temporary ones which they dont accept. she asked me my postal code and gave her my current postal code but she wanted the postal code on the id. I gave her the first portion since honestly i dont remember cause i moved to ontario 4 months ago. she asked for address and i gave her the street name and still she was not satisfied. The customer behind me entered and went to look at products and she literally stopped her and pushed her back asking id. She visibly looked like someone in their 30s. Even she was shook and asked since when do they check id at door here?
Always so pleasant and knowledgeable on the material. They very quickly began to recognize me by name and were very accommodating not only when I was rambling at them while quite sleep deprived and overthinking one evening but also when I brought my friend to the location to see what Canadian dispensaries are like. Excellent products and excellent service. The lovely ladies present during the closing shift as of recent are especially wonderful.
She is always a pleasure to deal with she remembers me and my order even when I forget the name. She will recommend me a good substitute if they are out. I appreciate her. Thank you Kiana.
My experience at OnePlant with Geoffrey was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. One of the main things when it comes to customer service is to let the customer be heard. I came in asking for a specific disposable vape, clearly reading out loud the name to him from my phone. He first checked the drawers, and said there’s none in stock, and after I showed him my screen, he said he’ll check the back. He brought a handful of the same product out, saying he just needed to open up a box. After paying, I realized he sold me a blinker vape cartridge, not a disposable. I went back to explain the misunderstanding, but instead of listening, he insisted that’s what I asked for that was all they had in stock there was no disposables. He said nothing could be done since it was opened. Trying to explain that the misunderstanding was clearly on his end, I kept getting cut off. When I tried to show him the screenshot again, he suddenly claimed to be “visually impaired”, and that he wouldn’t be able to see my screen even if he wanted to. This was strange since he had earlier identified another product on my screen that was cartridge, and I said not the 510 cartridge, but the disposable on the right hand side (there was 2 items on the screen) Throughout the conversation, he constantly spoke over me, wouldn’t let me explain, and became defensive, not allowing me to even speak, and any chance I had to get a word in, he would speak over me. When I kept asking again and again if I can finally say something, I TRIED to explain that I even said out loud that I wanted a disposable vape, and if there was none in stock he should have let me know instead of bringing out a completely other item simply because it’s the same brand. I wasn’t able to say any of this and was cut off again and told that he brought out exactly what I asked for, and what I showed him is not a disposable vape. Me personally I’m not visually impaired, and I can tell you right now underneath the photo it says disposable vape. I didn’t get a chance to say any of that, as I was cut off again with “it’s been opened, there’s nothing else to be said everything that needed to be said was already said”. In disbelief, I told him “the way you’re talking to me right now is kinda crazy.” He then accused me of calling him mentally deranged. I was in shock at the way he was handling the situation, and tried to explain me saying “the way you’re talking to me is kind of crazy” does not mean you are crazy. To me It seemed like he was having bad day and was taking it out on me. I then asked for his name and he refused. I stood there and after a pause, he said it was on the receipt, then ignored me completely to very loudly greet another customer. After the very loud and long greeting to the customer, I tried to proceed with what I was trying to say and he followed up with asking the customer if she needed help or if she knew what she wanted. Feeling dismissed and not wanting to create a scene, I stepped out of store and I called the Rexdale location, where the bud tender was kind, actually LISTENED to my concern, let me be heard, and told me the manager would follow up in the morning and that they are not in right now. When I went back for my receipt to confirm the name, I had the rexdale location on the line, and I told Geoffrey a note will be left with the manager to see in the morning. He chuckled and said that he IS the manager so once I asked the staff on the phone in front of him if the manager she mentioned was named Geoffrey, he changed it to “manager on duty”, and the staff member on the phone confirmed he was in fact not the manager, and she took my name and number down for the actual manager to follow up with me. This was by far the worst customer service I’ve ever had at any establishment. I come here every week and usually get great service from the other staff, but Geoffrey’s behaviour was confrontational, dismissive and overall completely unprofessional. I genuinely enjoyed coming into this store, but after this experience, I’m not sure if I’ll be returning.
Above and beyond customer service. I witnessed it with another customer and myself. I was taken aback by the level of quality customer care. Thanks especially to Kiana and Unique (sp?). They've also got great deals and member discounting!
One Plant is one of my favourite neighbourhood cannabis shops in Etobicoke. The staff are always friendly and genuinely knowledgeable, and they take the time to walk you through options instead of rushing you. They carry a really good mix of products for almost every type of customer – flower, concentrates, vapes, drinks, and edibles – so it’s easy to find something that fits what you’re looking for. The store is smaller than some of the big chain locations, but that actually makes the experience more personal and relaxed, and it’s very convenient if you live nearby. For anyone in the area who wants a welcoming, well‑stocked shop with staff who actually know their products, One Plant is definitely a place to check out
amazing first-time experience coming into this location. The bud tender Unique, was very lovely, welcoming and did their job diligently. they were very kind and were very helpful :) 10/10
