The only pastry that was good was the mango one....but still i have had much better at a much lower price. All other tasted so weird and not worth the hype at all.
I was very disappointed with my experience today. I came in to order a coffee and a pastry, but the girl at the counter was on her phone and completely ignored me. She didn’t greet me, didn’t acknowledge that I was standing there, and acted as if I wasn’t even there. I ended up leaving frustrated. A simple “Hi, I’ll be with you in a minute” would have been enough. Instead, the service felt rude and unprofessional.
Tried the viral fruit desserts that have been circulating. My favorite were the mango and coffee bean. Everything else tastes the same. I would stick to mango and coffee bean next time. $60+ for 6 pastries is a steep price. I appreciate the craftsmanship though. Staff was nice and offered a discount for signing up for the free membership and offered a free apple dessert. Probably would not go back anytime soon. Not worth a 40min drive for me.
The fruit desserts were beautiful and tasty. . . Yes-they are pricey but they are worth it if not only for the workmanship. I didn’t enjoy my coffee though - I would go back but I wouldn’t get a coffee based drink .
Finally tried the viral fruit cakes from LA at Asters. They are under-stably overpriced as I’m sure they take time to make. Payed $48 for 4 small cakes - 2 fruit and 2 regular (mango, raspberry, pistachio and chocolate/cherry). Enjoyed every single one! Thought I would love the mango the most but the raspberry one caught me by surprise. There were possibly some coconut on the mango one which I thought didn’t pair. The pistachio one is definitely a must. Recommended to sit out for 20 minutes but I loved it eating it frozen!
Best desserts in the city! If you are looking for heavenly delicious macarons- this is the place, if you are looking for a cake, that everyone will say “yummmm” - this is the place! My go to choice for all special occasions ❤️
Cute bakery with mainly mousse type desserts and macaroon. The cookies & cream macaroon is delicious. The interior seats about 4, so this location is better for pick up and enjoying your treats while walking along the lake path. The iced coffee was also very good and bold. I'd recommend this place if you're coming from the east and would like an instagram friendly dessert.
