This was the second bridal shop I visited while starting my wedding dress search, and I’m genuinely grateful it wasn’t my first because if it had been, I would’ve felt discouraged right from the start. When I arrived for the first appointment of the day, I was told to browse and place markers on any dresses I liked. I asked if the gowns were organized by size or designer, and was told no, just to pick whatever caught my eye. When I met the consultant, she immediately suggested I “pop this dress on,” but the sample was clearly far too small. It didn’t come close to fitting, and I let them know that if they didn’t carry sizes that could accommodate me, I was perfectly fine leaving. They then searched the store for their largest samples (only three) and even those were extremely small. The consultant didn’t have the proper clips or materials to secure the gowns, and at one point put me in a dress that was triple my stated budget. I left pretty quickly after that. Moral of the story: if you’re above a size 8, this likely isn’t the place for you.
I recently had a very disappointing experience at Pearl Bridal House. When I first went in, I specifically asked for a navy blue dress. Since they didn’t have the exact dress in store, a staff member showed me the style online in a navy blue shade (French blue). I placed my order and waited three months for the dress to arrive. When I went to pick it up, I noticed that the colour was not what I had ordered. Instead of navy blue, the dress was “Evening Blue,” which a grayish blue. While my contract did say “Evening Blue,” I trusted the staff to be knowledgeable about the colour names and to ensure it matched what I was shown and confirmed at the time of purchase. Things only got worse from there. I was told someone would contact me the next day to sort it out, no one ever did. I tried calling multiple times, no answer. Emails would take three days or more to get a reply. After a week of trying to reach someone, I finally made another appointment. At that appointment, I was told they couldn’t get the original dress I ordered, so I had to choose a completely different style in a different colour. I was told it would arrive around Thanksgiving, but again, I heard nothing and had to chase them down for updates. When I picked up the new dress, I asked the owner if there would be any form of compensation for the stress, inconvenience, and poor communication. Her response was essentially, “No, you signed the contract and we got you another dress.” Overall, my experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I would not recommend this place unless you’re a colour expert or don’t mind waiting days for a response to calls and emails. A bridal experience should feel special, not stressful and unfortunately, that was not the case here.
This place costs money to book an appointment. I am willing to pay for an appointment if the experience equals it but despite the cost, my experience here was the worst out of all the places I had visited when trying on dresses. When I entered in the morning, I was asked to fill out a form that I had already filled out online. I was mildly annoyed to write out the same information again, but it wasn’t a big issue at that time. The issue that bothered me the most was the overall experience, considering I paid money to have an appointment: the stylist didn’t know what I wanted, and I felt rushed. When I met the stylist, she had no idea what kind of styles I was looking for despite me filling out the online form they asked me to fill out in advance in great detail. I don’t expect the stylist to memorize what I wrote when they have multiple appointments, but a general idea or having the list of things to reference on a device would’ve been good. I even included the exact dress I wanted to try on in the form and she had no clue, as if she didn’t read the form at all. I felt that the stylist was rushing me the entire time. My entire appointment from arriving to stepping out of the door was 45 minutes. This included signing the form when I entered, having time to choose some dresses, explaining my likes and dislikes, trying on dresses, then being hurried out of the store. I know I would have appreciated a little extra time to feel less stressed and hurried. Other places that I have been to for free appointments have been for an hour to an hour and a half, and I was not rushed out of the store for the next appointment. It really felt like they cared more about their sales than their customers’ experience. I will say that the stylist was nice overall, but for a paid appointment, I would expect an equal or better experience compared to all the other spots I’ve been to that had impeccable customer service, and especially NOT to feel rushed despite still having extra time at the end of the appointment.
Best experience at Pearl Bridal House. The entire process was seamless, from the first fitting to the final pick-up. I can’t recommend this place enough to any bride-to-be. Thank you for helping make such a special part of my wedding journey so memorable!
Pearl bridal house is absolutely fantastic! From the very first contact they were super helpful in navigating finding a dress. My appointment with Melanie was wonderful and everything I hoped it to be. They kept me informed of updates with the dress shipments and were always pleasant and kind! Highly recommend this bridal shop ?.
Such a wonderful experience with Pearl Bridal House! From start to finish. I ended up finding my dream dress here and working with their team was always smooth and professional. I would highly recommend to any bride looking for the perfect bridal experience! They have soooo many beautiful options as well!
Pearl Bridal was a great experience. They do have dresses for most budget sizes, but I'd say it tends to run on the expensive end. I specifically went to Pearl because they carry Hailey Paige. They had a great selection. I was able to try on any dress I wanted and my consultant did a good job of guiding me along. I was able to get a Hailey Paige sample for half the price! I also went to them to have my alternations done. They were very transparent about the cost going in, so I wasn't surprised. It was costly but I was able to go back 3 times to make sure the dress fit just right. It needed to be let out and they did a fantastic job. Little things here and there were fixed as it was a sample. They hemmed it, added a bustle and sewed in a piece of my mom's old wedding dress. I had a great experience and I would highly recommend!
